2008 Favourites

It's Tuesday morning and I am bored and decided to do some procrastinating instead of studying

So it's been about half a year since somebody has done something like this and I think it would be cool to know what you guys are into at the moment

This is basically from late 2007 until now(ordering from best and on):

Top 3 productions/remixes(tracks): Radio Slave - Grindhouse feat. Danton Eeprom (Dubfire Remix), Quivver - Surin (Original Mix), Meat Katie & D. Ramirez - Stop the Revolution (Dubfire's Arrowhead Dub)

Top producers: Quivver, Paolo Mojo, Dusty Kid

Top remixers: Dubfire

Top DJ's: Digweed, Lawler, Nic Fancuilli, Dubfire.

Top radio broadcasts, sets that you have playing at home, in your car, or on your mp3 player/ipod: Steve Lawler Space Ibiza June 13th 2008, Transitions by Digweed (weekly), Fanciulli - DJ Times Shortlist 08/20

Top parties that you have attended: Sasha & Digweed MTL Dec 28th/07, D-Formation @ Stereo May 5th/08

Top DJs: Richie Hawtin - Laurent Garnier

they change a few times a year since new things happen so fast but for now.

Top Producer: Guillaume Coutu Dumount

Top Remixer: Martin Buttrich (could also be top producer considering half of what comes out of berlin has his touch to it even though you won't see his name on it.(including Loco Dice's awesome album. )

Top Dj: no...i will not put the pussy on the pedestal.

Paul Ritch, Gregor Tresher, Radio Slave, Dubfire (in that order). For all prods + remixes.

2008 is not as good as 2007 for new music so far...not many DJs impressed me either. Only Calderone at Bal en Blanc was a real highlight for me.

Even the sets I download are very average.
I've listen to Paul Ritch one a lot though in the past 6 months:

top local is marc mysterio.

his baselines in fruity loops are bass-a-rific and the luchadores mask he wears is entertaining.

Listened to them quite a bit, enjoyed them for the most part, but they've have had better, more consistent releases.... and I'm saying that as a dedicated fan of both.

My favorite LP of 2008 was Jamie Lidell's "JIM." Too many individual tracks to mention.
