Armin already played it

He's like the Simpsons. It's like every tune I find, no matter good or not, his style or not, it's either already on the ASOT tracklisting or even worse, it's on youtube. Or is it only the tunes that Armin plays that get released

Dig deeper.

What difference does it make anyway?

I don't find myself really liking any of Van Buuren's music these days. I think it sounds good, but I wouldn't buy those track to spin myself.

Dunno, just bugs me a bit. I listen through 100 consecutive tunes released in a certain period to find a couple good ones, think they're special, and then bam, Armin has played them! I guess doesn't really matter. Just humorous.

Me neither, really. It's all buildups and drum rolls.
I just don't understand why Armin would play Oliver Moldan vs. Harada - Fortune Cookie (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix)

Ha, i was expecting something along the lines of "stop liking shitty music"

You definitely aren't looking hard enough.

By the way, can you explain the Simpsons analogy?

If you're talking about Fortune Cookie right now, therein lies your problem.

Its nearly a year old!

The regular rub of the green = cool guys play it ->>> armin/tiestojump on it ->>>> every dj and their old man plays it.

review new releases on digital sites quicker, and you'll find you pick up tracks b4 Armin gets his hands on them

Big Armin is watching you

And then you think: Damn, if Armin plays it then it must be shit. I must listen to 1337 underground music to be cool, so I'll try some Dubfire.

I find that incredibly hard to believe.

Sure, he occasionally branches out once in a while during his show, but he's by no means even scraping the tip of the iceberg when it comes to non-Epic/Melodic Trance.

As for tracks being on YouTube, that's something of a different story.

It's sometimes provided useful, when I want to sample tracks beyond what Beatport provides when considering a purchase.

So what if some big DJ likes tracks you like. How does that make it a bad or good tune?

Posted by woscar on Aug-28-2008 02:00:

Well DUH! he's the #1 DJ in the world

I have to admit ASOT has lost its sparkle for me.....too much computerised shite is being played on there now that some 16 year old kid's produced with warez software

true observation or not, it is pretty funny. armin played it! armin played it!
