I agree, clearly not underground enough.

After realising how much indie rock has sold out I now listen to underground rock.

exactly. It's all about making your own paths instead of following someone elses. We're all equals when it comes to the ability to find music, the same places are available for us all so it depends how much effort we put into it or not.
