first of all its not phatt at all, its hard as hell and thin and realy most energy in the midrange part. without the baseline it wouldnt be bass in this track at all. u can find the kick sample in earlier vengeance samplepacks.

o.k...........so what makes the boom .....is it a sub base on were he kick hits?.....lost ??

His kicks are usually quite thin, and often a bit too hard compared to the other instruments in the song. But that's his preference.

In terms of "how to make a fat kick drum like Sean Tyas" - buy Vengeance Essential Clubsounds 1 and 2 and you'll probably have the exact same kick samples Sean is using. Problem solved.

?

Now I'm curious as to what you misread the word "kick" as. I can only think of a couple of options, none scary as such.

This kick is special. You don't make the kick. The kick makes you!

Smiley DJ

yeah man dont focus too much on those kicks! keep them low, the vengeance ess club sounds has got fine kicks to keep you moving on...

focus on the synth bass you want to surround the kick with.

Or make your own. Its not that hard. Get a low sub type, combine with a mid range type, add a sharp hat over the top. EQ, compress. Job done.
There was a tutorial on here some time ago that L-Vee (Airwave etc) had written that was quite useful. Maybe try to dig that out.
