Anyone into astronomy????
One of my friends was taking astronomy last semester and I really enjoyed him telling me some of the stuff he learned. Some of the stuff he told me was hard to fathem
I watched a show on TLC awhile back called Hyperspace and actually enjoyed learning space.

I love astronomy, but the only formal education I have in it is a course I took in Uni called AST251 - Life on Other Worlds.... We talked about the possibility of life on other planets.
One of my favorite sites is the Astronomy Picture of the Day site by Nasa
APOD
The links lead to a lot of info about astronomy.
My dad is really into it. He just recently bought a REALLY expensive telescope and he keeps getting it upgraded everyfew months. Too bad the weathers been crappy for so long, I wanna take a look thru that thing
i enjoy this topic anytime...
Yeah I've been into astromony since I was about 3 or 4 when my dad used to take me star gazing. I used to know all the names of the stars and constellations, but struggle to remember any of them now.
On an astronomical tangent, anyone heard all this stuff about Mars? How they've found massive ice deposits under the soil and it looks as though NASA are about to commit to a manned mission to Mars within 20 years? Sensational, gives me goose-bumps just thinking about it.
Ahhh..... the intrigue.
yeah i always love talking about whats out there.....i also love dinosaurs stuff...
Boeing commercial is my fav
The BOEING commercial is my fav commercial cause of that tune they came up with. Anyone know where I can get that tune?
Astralogy.. astromony.. ya im liking it.. not a corse i can take in highschool.. but its fun hehe

Heavens Above!!!!
Look for the Iridium Flares!!!
One thing that ALWAYS
BUGS

All my life I've been interested in it...it's facinating.
dude...you know...i mean...ok, its like we are all CONNECTED man...and the moon and the stars...its like they are dancing up there, and we are just like...we are just like observers in this cosmic dance you know man...and then...it like WE dance, and then the stars are watching US...like you know when you see the moon...and then you just get that feeling...that what it IS man, that what it is all about. Why do you think we dance at night...it like the sun is jealous and its burning for its rage. Like its the fucking parents man, and the moon and stars and its kids. and it has to sit up all day and make sure they are well behaved...and then it goes to bed and its party time, because theyve been locked up in the closet all day. Why do you think are so pale man? and so then we all dance, and while we dance, they spin faster and harder, and set the beats of our lives man...its all connected

im taking it but aint learning anything. probably cause my prof is the worst prof i have. he is so absorbed into his powerpoint that i can just get the notes of the internet...
I'm actually taking an astronomy class right now.
It's probably one of the best classes I've ever taken.
As long as i can remember I've been interested in space and whats out there.
My single most important goal in life is to leave earth and go into "space."
No matter what happens to me, I can die a happy man if i go into outer space. If I die out there, i don't care. I wanna be able to float in what feels like weightlessness and look down at earth and whats beyond.
