are viruses cool
Honestly what kind of person makes shit to fuck up other peoples stuff that they will never know about?

kidding......but I don't know. Viruses suck.
What one did you get? I have seen a good few in my time around computers. Some are a bitch to get rid of and others are easy as hell.
I dont have any I was just thinking about them lol. Like person is like "ya man im gonna get everyone with this sweet trojan!" Fucking douches.
Probably just a bored geeks that feeling particularly evil that day. Havent you ever had a day when you felt like doing some evil. Well since a geek cant go outside, since the sunshine might kill him or at lest burn his eyes he has to stay indoors and come up with new and amusing way to spread evil from the comforts of his chair. And there are few things as evil as a virus that seeks out and deletes your entire porn collection, now that an idea.

I once got one that shut off the fan in the back of my computer and melted my whole motherboard.
When I opened up the 'puter it looked like a bomb site...
people still get these. I have never really used anti-virus, now that I think about it, I have never used it. I used a firewall for about 3 or 4 months. But yea, just stop looking at bad porn sites 
no more donkey shows for you.

viruses suck!
but they are usually easy to get rid of if you know the root process and how to boot into safemode. then just delete the suspect files
also contrary to popular belief very few *destructive* viruses are spread through just downloading porn or movies. most exploit specific security holes in various MS applications...hmm interesting how Microsoft still can't make windows virus free.

Seriously, anyone who writes a virus should get a good beating. What's the point?
Nowadays though, virus's are meant to be able to get your ID's, so the hacker can buy stuff with your name.
Why make viruses?
Plenty of reasons...
I've heard a theory that states viruses are created by the antivirus developers themselves in order to maintain high sales of their product. pretty decent version, noh?

The Smitfraud Trojan is one of the most annoying I have seen yet. Though there are tools to get your desktop back, it's a browser hijacker, and when using your tool bar (e.g. google) it directs you to a search page that looks like google, but is nothing more than links to download more shit and shady programs/fake virus removal utilities. Even after using the removal tool, it seems to still leave the toolbar fucked and keeps directing your google searches to a fake search engine. Only way to get rid of it completely is with a reformat and fresh windows installation.
If there were no viruses then all the internet security corporations would be out of business wouldn't they?
Sometimes I think at least half of them are created by the companies who allegedly are supposed to protect you from them. If you have their product you are safe, now if you don't...well then
