Sorry about this rap thread *actually im not sorry* <3

but i want to know for any of you who appreciate rap/hip hop...what is your favorite rap song that tells a great story? i mean like, u can really just picture it and u feel for the artist when he raps it?

as for me...it's Lost Boyz "Renee"

the song remains badass while telling a sad story.

never heard that one but i liked.

when i was a senior in high school the lost boyz were live at some little club in ft. lauderdale and my gf was going with her bf and some other friends and i was grounded so i didn't go. i seriously contemplated sneaking out that night but i didn't wanna get caught by my mom. lol

i wish i would have just been like fuck it. i snuck out so many times for bullshit and the one time i really should have, i didn't. lol

another good one for me although it was after they went mainstream/pop, but i still really like it. it just touches me, it's cute

Outkast - Ms. Jackson

oh yea and by the way, this is tied with Lost Boyz "Renee" at the number 1 spot.

i mean if u can't just picture this whole day in the life of a thug from south central L.A. while listening, then ur retarded

Sylee you are a thread-posting machine!

I can't relate to the struggle of the black man, but these are some of my old school favorites (very Wu Tang heavy):

I'm not really into new rap, except I do love The Roots

i know it sounds ridiculous coming from a 5'5 skinny blonde chick, but when i saw wu-tang live in nyc last year at Rock The Bells....i couldn't contain myself. this funny ass asian kid i had smoked weed with (one of kid nyc's friends) sat there with me and was just like "wow, this is like...one of my goals i can scratch off my list of things to do before i die....i love wu-tang clan i can't believe i'm seeing them live right now"

i was just like "TRUUUUUUE"

they did METHOD MAN and "It's yours" live...so many classics live i was blown away.

Posted by Vivid Boy on Sep-05-2008 02:03:

also heres another jay-z song same album that blows my mind for painting pictures

I'm not even that big of a jigga fan but i give credit where credit is due

Posted by Slylee on Sep-05-2008 02:04:
