Evil1 Damn Starbucks

Please pass this on to everyone you know

Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to Let them know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they Send some of it to the troops there. Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it, and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee. So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying any of their products! I feel we should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house. If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it and no one will never know. Thanks very much for your support. I know you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS. .. ALLOW IT TO BE PASSED TO ALL IN MEMORY OF ALL THE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THEM OR NOT!!

Also, don't forget that when the Twin Trade Towers were hit the fire
fighters and rescue workers went to Starbucks because it was close by
for water for the survivors and workers and Starbucks charged them! ! !

JUST A NOTE TO THIS: STARBUCKS HAD STORES ON SEVERAL MILITARY BASES IN THE UNITED STATES. THEY ARE NOW BEING REMOVED BECAUSE OF THIS.

I have difficulty believing that Starbucks would give the metaphorical finger to such an enormous client. Unless it came from some half-witted customer service rep and not senior management.

To be clear, I hate Starbucks because their coffee tastes like baboon ass, but nevertheless: Evidence Please.

i'd say bring em all back home and they can have all the coffee they want. In the mean time, give em meth so they go crazy on those iraqi punks!

It's precisely that kind of sophomoric anti-military obloquy that lost Kerry the election in '04. Some opinions people really ought to learn to keep to themselves. This isn't about whether or not you approved of the war - these people are not politicians, they have no agenda, they are the ones who fight and die so you can be free to stuff your faces with potato chips and criticize from the comfort of your living rooms.

Congratulations, you've eradicated any trace of credibility that might have been extended to you in future conversations, and you've done it over a glaring hoax.

I find it difficult to support any military or soldier which supports terror.

Capitalism ie. $$$$ >> Morals, Values & Beliefs...
Come on now people..get with it!

Anyway, here's my traumatic experience...

I signed up for the Starbucks reward like in June, and it states that you get a free beverage.

Anyway, I ended up getting my voucher for my free coffee on Wednesday September 3rd...

The damn Coupon expired August 31st!!

I wrote them a nice email and hopefully i'll still get my free drinK!! I can't afford to drink any of their normal drinks haha

yeah exactly, you dont have to believe in the war, but at least support the guys that are risking their lives to fight for your country!

Posted by love_child on Sep-05-2008 12:46:

Starbucks is shitty shit shit

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Sep-05-2008 13:01:

Good on Starbucks....the nerve of the troops to even ask Starbucks to send them anything. Maybe I will write McDonald's and see if they will send me Big Macs because everyone in my office loves Big Macs.

I am sick of people giving military people free shit all over the place. They are doing their job....I don't get free shit because I do my job.

I don't know, but I find it kind of strange with all these statements differentiating the troops and the 'mission'. I've even seen a new slew of comments indicating "If you don't support the mission, how can you support the troops?".

In any case, last I checked, military service in this country is voluntary, thus if you volunteer to go with guns-a-blazing into foreign territory, what freedoms are you exactly protecting? And if you are aware of the political stance of your patron nation, still volunteer to fight for it, well where is the difference in the politics and the grunts executing those politics?

thank you!!
fucking +1

if I read another one of those lame "oh they're all heroes, fighting for their country" brouhaha I'll explode! they do it voluntarily AND get paid for it!
