Probably a more accurate map of how Americans view the world:
it isn't that far off, the american education system does a horrible job of not teaching young americans about the world around them.
most cannot even point out the 50 states, nevermind find iraq on the map.
yes it is a generalization and not true of the population as a whole, but i have seen it first hand. Would be nice if they taught world geography and history in high school like many other places do.
About 12% of Americans cant find the US on a map

i could find all 50 states on the map by the time i was 14.
i learned this in school.
i do not live in the US.

I notice that Africa wasn't even included on the map. I'm guessing that was intentional.
as a geography major, this gives me many mixed feelings. it's funny, it's sad, it's stupid, it's accurate.
and yeah, i had to memorize it all in 5th grade. it's so easy too, once you learn it, it stays with you forever.
