Just moved here about a month ago with a friend. Was curious to know if there's anybody on this forum living in Syracuse?

Nothing much. Still looking for a job, writing my stories, that's about it. Will be attending OCC next semester, so yep.

i go to OCC right now so im sure ill see you on campus next semester. what kind of stories do you write??

if you ever want to come out to Lava with us (club at turning stone casino) im sure that'd be fun too. anyway, if you have any questions about the cuse let me know. just a word of advice, DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT drive around the south side at night. or the east side for that matter unless you consult me first. not the greatest of areas. the west side and north arent that great either, but on the south side you might get fucked with.

where are you living exactly

The bottom of Onondaga Hill, Seneca Turnpike, close to that old people place and a park. South side, I think? Yeah, well I went walking around at night twice or thrice... didn't get fucked up or anything, but yeah, I'll keep what you said in mind.

And I write Horror/Drama stuff. Been trying to stop writing horror and focus on the drama stuff more lately... my "scare tactics" are dying out after three novels, which I plan on revising/rewriting before any publishing ambitions, two novellas, and three short stories/supplements. I'm still a baby, though; been writing for only four to five years.

Yeah it sounds like you live in the valley. Just don't go deep into the south side. If you're looking to go out armory square is pretty fun. There are a bunch of bars.

man too bad this post is a few years too late, i graduated from SU - haven't been to harrys in a long time. IMO, faegans or darwins are the best spots - if darwins is even there any more. but if you're looking for boozed up sorority girls, then yeah - still to harrys...

lol this brings me back to the days when i used to go to suny oswego, and there was no where to party (i mean dont get me wrong i was in a frat and had mad fun) you'd have to drive back to Manhattan for a good time at least the "times" downstate kids were used to.

harrys is deffinatly the spot, the vza dj's there on most nights and spinns some good house/trance. He has to mix in the mtv rap tho to keep the slors and fratpacks happy

I spent like twenty min there last weekend and it was all right. the crowd was kinda old for me, late twenties early thrities (VZA if you remember you got laid by this crowd the last time you went) and i was wonderin if anyone wanted to go. darwins was my favorite second bar, the only bar with some actual elbow room. Isn't wednesdays flip night @ faegans? I'd love to go back and visit but its creepy as hell going to the bars and hot spots without the ol' crew. Too eery.

damn i cant believe there were tranceaddicts in syracuse! I used to run the Syracuse Dance Factory on Z89 and all I did was play trance. We had an interview with Markus Schulz, Roger Sanchez, and Richard Humptyvision. Where were all you guys when I was in Syracuse?! Some of the alumni from the show works for big labels like defected in nyc. Damn I was there for 5 years, I've finally moved out of there 4 weeks ago.

for real? im a little pissed we never got to link up... I'm actually a radio/sound major at OCC right now, are there any contacts you'd be willing to give me around syracuse where they'd be looking for a DJ to do EDM late nights? or even just a contact period to get my foot in the door. that'd be great. thanks
