TOTA Fantasy Hockey 2008-2009 Season

Hey All,

I've started up this year's edition on Yahoo! Sports. If anyone is interested, please PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the invitation to join.

Cheers,
Jason

*edit* League is now full. Thank you.

My real name is Jeff Hackett

So what's the scoring format here?

I assume it's straight forward for the forwards.

But as a reflection of true defensive ability I've often included +/-for defencemen, so it is possible for a D-man to pull in as many points as a Crosby/Ovechkin, but then there's the added fun od D-men potentially costing you points.

Also, how will goalies be scored? Just the old wins & shutouts? Or will there be the more practical allotment of 1 point per 20 saves or something like that?

Just a few thoughts.

Cheers.

Beautiful!

Love the severe stats influence.

So week by week on a head-2-head basis then good sir?

Either way, I'm looking forward to this!

Oh My!

yeah, every week you face head-2-head versus a different player, and then you either get a Win, Lose or Tie against that player based on whoever has more points.

Who ever has the greatest number of Wins at the end wins.

It works great incase you really have one bad week or something, it doesn't put you out of the running.

Solid.

In addition to the scoring format I described in the earlier post, which obviously is a total points pool, I usually did my drafts auction style w/ a cap. That way everyone has an equal shot at every player.

Plus the bidding leads to some great bitterness over the afternoon, so good times there too! lol.

That said, I'm looking forward to this format... first time I've participated in one of these types.

Once the last 2 open spots are taken, I think we'll also meet the final week of the season too.
