Been messing around a lot & put together a set where all tracks are from 2005-2008 and I was surprised cos I nearly always throw something old in. Expect awesome tunes and ok if not stunning mixing

Steve Birch - Depature Lounge
Freq - SHM (Melodic Mix)

Absolutely. I am totally blown away by the awesomeness of that album. I easily could've just mixed it in one long go but that wouldn't have been as good fun for putting up to download

Will see if the Wizzy will make me feel very blissy.

Hmm, I think the first track is kind've a self remix of seven deadly sins or something? I dunno, I've def heard some of the melodies in seven deadly sins. Regardless, that was a pretty awesome song, this version probably isn't as good, but anyway.

will edit in (or reply) what I think of the mix overall in an hour or so... mmm second songs much better (mostly just the original of the first tune is absolutely epic and amazing and that one was merely good).

I found that a lot of his newer tracks are more steve birch/askew style trance than full on. His older stuff really sounded samey but i liked his album even if a lot was similar. Since then he's changed sound a bit and i do like it but he needs to keep on bringing fresh melodies and evolving for it to last long-term. Definitely got the talent from what i've heard so far

Morning Stu!

when you're playing around on traktor 1.06 with no cue, then yeah it will be bad I usually mention not to pay attention to the mixing, because as a rule I use tunes that not many others do & post the sets as a gateway for people to find them I've already converted a few friends to drum & bass this way
