i had this same gay problem about 2 months ago and couldn't get rid of the lop crap on my desktop....but the lop.com website at the bottom it says remove lop or some crap, d/l that and everything will return back to normal

not an hour later, did my roomate have the same lop problem! but i didn't tell him how to fix it rigth away, i let him get really aggrivated for about half an hour, then i told him...hehe

It just keeps going back so theres no way of stoping out right now! You could try ad-aware but after browsing through couple underground sites, you will soon get it again.

Same thing here, got it from some cracks site that was linked from astalavista... been afraid to visit there ever since, seriously!
Anyway- that was a while ago... I was so pissed at it that I just formated my pc without any further questions asked!

yeah, this lop.com is shit, i got it yesterday...
i searched for 30 minutes how to get it out of my pc, and hopefully found it`s here C:\WINDOWS\Application Data .... just delete searchlopcom.exe (or smth like this)

I had the lop thing a few weeks ago, but got rid of it with Ad Aware. Just today a new one has found itself as my homepage, swubi.com

I seem to be getting loads of popups now too, and they're not from porn sites. I ran ad aware, deleted everything it found, and they're still appearing. Very annoying!

when any site asks you to "confirm download" say "NO!!". It is seriously illegal for progs to just install themselves to your comp - so u definately accepted it!

My big tips for removal;

Dont download in first place

But... if u do...

find any instance of the b00ger in your hard disk
Search your autoexec.bat and config.sys file for any trace
run "sysedit" and check your win.ini for any trace
run "regedit" << be careful here (backup first! ) and search for a key called "lop". If it looks suspect (ie not called Windows), delete it.
Dont download in first place

The solution is simple! Download this file: http://lop.com/uninstall.exe

Run it and it should remove that Lop crap. Don't worry, it's not some kind of spyware crap, I used this method about 10 mins ago and LOP is completely removed from my computer.

I checked out adaware site and they came out with the new version 5.82 where it can help remove the lop.com...I'm trying it out right now.
