Berlin Calling relate l'histoire fictive du producteur underground Berlinois DJ Martin (aka DJ Ikarus), en tourn�e avec sa g�rante et amie de coeur, Mathilde. Le couple passe ses nuits enti�res dans les clubs, pr�parant la sortie en grande pompe d'un album. Mais les probl�mes de drogue de Martin s'aggravent, compromettant la sortie de l'album, jusqu'� ce qu'une overdose le frappe. Il se retrouve alors intern� dans un institut psychiatrique. Pendant que Martin fraternise avec d'autres patients et recommence peu � peu � composer, Mathilde retombe dans les bras de son ex copine, Corinna.

Le DJ de renomm�e internationale Paul Kalkbrenner incarne le r�le principal du film, en plus d'en signer la trame sonore.
Berlin Calling d�peint la vie nocturne de la sc�ne �lectronique, � 100 battements par minutes.

Berlin electronic music composer Martin (Paul Kalkbrenner), known as DJ Ickarus, is touring with his manager and girlfriend Mathilde (Rita Lengyel) from club to club around the globe and is about to release their biggest album to date. However, all of his plans are thrown out of kilter after Ickarus is submitted to the emergency ward of a psychiatric clinic high on drugs after a gig. A tragicomedy in Berlin of today.

From the director of One Day in Europe (Berlinale 2005 in Official Competition) and Berlin is in Germany (Berlinale 2001 Panorama Audience Award) Hannes St�hr.

The Toronto Show was completely sold out and a few people could
not get seats and the theater in Toronto was twice the size as the
one in Montreal.

On the wantickets event page, says the movie is from 10pm to 2am. That would really suck for a lot of people. Can someone please confirm?

I wasn't expecting much (turns out the trailer was just poorly cut IMO)... but wow... fantastic film; really enjoyed that.

Das Leben der Anderen received the Oscar for best foreign language film. It deserved it.
