That doesn't help you with ITMS. You can only access it from the program and from what I know of, proxies are not supported.

Tunnel to a US host. have one of your us buddies set up windows ssh.
use tunnelier to tunnel and then sockscap to run iTunes. set sockscap to send packets to tunnelier, tunneiler to run a SOCKS server.

Too bad you can't save them to other mediums.

I have a DVD recorder attached to the direct TV. But in reality downgrading 1080i into 480i is VERY shit quality. Personally i have not need to switch it to another format. If i can't watch it on a 42" TV in HD, not worth watching at all

Why would the dvd recorder change formats? Is it one of those where you have to use the tv output for it and it only accepts analogue or something?

yup, I have not found a DVD recorder that allows anything else other than RCA jacks as inputs to record. Even though they might upconvert DVDs at 1080i or 1080p through HDMI, inputs are always RCA.

The direct TV DVR has outputs both HDMI and RCA that allow send the signal through at the exact same time. So one to the TV the other through the DVD recorder.
