I always thought that they where rather expensive for the specs. Last time I compared I could build a carrilon PC with half the money. Ofcourse Carrilon had some extra features, but still...
Rather blow my money on a mac
i know how to build a pc, but i wouldnt know what parts to buy, could someone tell me what motherboard a should get for a start ? i know that its mainly down to the processor and ram which mainly determines ur performance like.
Motherboard, processor, RAM are most important for optimal performance.
If you know what processor you want, take it from there. Find a motherboard that has high data transfer rates. The more the better in most cases
. Then preferably get the max. speed RAM that's possible for the motherboard. And you'll more or less have maximum performance.
of course you have to make sure you stay within budget so it's all about making compromises in the end. Unless you have a big budget
lol nah the budget aint massive, ok cheers guys.
Buy a cheap motherboard (preferably with intergrated video if u dont play games) good CPU and decent RAM.
I disagree on the integrated video card. A basic video card costs less than 50E, I got mine for 35Euro. A seperate video card is a bit better for your performance than one that's on the motherboard, isn't it (I'm not 100% sure) ?
if you can save 40 euro by buying a motherboard that has everything you need, you could always buy a new video card later.. it will tie up a little bit of the budget.

This motherboard has 12 USB slots, 2 PCI express and costs the same as other cheap motherboards, leaving money for the most important factor the CPU.

The point is that then the video card is the cheapest and easiest upgradable component in the PC, leaving room to spend 50 dollars extra on the CPU which expensive to upgrade.
