this may be too optimistic, but if there was ever a good time for a fuel hike it would be during an election. This large of hike will inevitable be discussed by politicians and hopefully will prompt some action by our leaders. not that any of them will keep them though.

its not like they have much control over the price of fuel....they can lower some of the taxes on fuel but that's not going to happen.

I guess some people will be walking to work on Friday

get your oil like they used to in the good ol' days!

Posted by Abercrombie on Sep-11-2008 22:50:

I filled up on the Tyandinega reserve on the way back from Montreal at 1.17, half a tank left, but gonna get some moar.

I hear a barrel of crude just dropped to under 100... go figure

Posted by chinamon on Sep-11-2008 23:04:

i filled up yesterday at 122.* so im good for the rest of the weekend.

You know this panic buying is also driving the price of fuel up as well? Which is probably a part of the cause of the article in the first place as well.

Posted by gummybear on Sep-12-2008 00:20:

i was too lazy to wait in those crazy line ups...

Posted by zoogla on Sep-12-2008 00:21:

no, but i'll take those "racing" gloves.

Posted by VDub on Sep-12-2008 00:47:

You'd think it was the 60's with these lineups...

I'd rather pay the extra tenner to fill my tank....

It's times like this I'm glad I have a small fuel-efficient economy car, so as not to feel the shock of these rising prices.

...Oh wait, I don't have an economy car. And I'm still going to fill it up with 91. Suckas!

Posted by Orko on Sep-12-2008 02:41:

Thanks for the fear mongering oh wise one. Every waddle twit mary in the area is jammed into the Shell across the street. Almost got hit in a car, and on foot, with people slamming the brakes and jerking the wheel.

Posted by Orko on Sep-12-2008 03:02:

Fuck, they got god damned Lesly Roberts out of bed to man a station live right now.

I wonder how much people will have wasted sitting in line?

Posted by SWFT on Sep-12-2008 03:06:

filled up! thanks!

Posted by Abercrombie on Sep-12-2008 03:41:

I filled up my 1/2 tank tonight anyways... got it in the town of Snowball at the Pioneer, and got 60cents extra for the fill.

Posted by Sentinal on Sep-12-2008 03:45:

I didnt see that much of a lineup when I went to fillup. One car already at the pump when i got there and that was it. I'm sure it was bad in other parts of the city though. Hopefully I have enought fuel to get through this spike.

Posted by infinity HiGH on Sep-12-2008 03:51:

hahaha glad I don't have a car.

Posted by Edde Dre on Sep-12-2008 04:31:

you guys are paying 1.22 for GAS!?? You guys need to move. or sell ur car. How much is 94?

Posted by Pett on Sep-12-2008 04:34:

fuckin crooks

i love how they say it takes time for the price at the pump drop when the barrel drops because of "futures contracts"

then how the fuck do they explain this overnight bs.
looks like im biking in again tmmr. not becuase i can't affoard it, but its my form of protest , they're not getting any more of my money.
