Pioneer SEDJ-5000 Headphones
Just got these babies
My My My, These boys are NICE!!!
Such Excellent sound!!!
And they are so comfortable, better then the MDR-V700 in my opinion.
I Never saw anyone reccomends them, now is a good time to start
Im thinking to get the Ixos Ministry Of Sound dj 1001 , anyone knows a cheap place to buy them?
Hmmm, they are expensive, but you got the Pioneer's no?
I Tell you, even at full volium, these things perform!
I like these phones, I think people just haven't really said anything about them because you can get the Senheisers hd280 for 99$ and the MDR v700's for about that much too, while the pioneers are usually alot more.
*Checks the price*
$100, eh?
Why would anyone buy those when you can get the HD280 Pro's???
Someone should do a direct comparison...

I guess someone would need that, and be willing to spend money on that, if they had damaged hearing, as many DJ's seem to have? Then again, any DJ could probably *PREVENT* hearing damage by using the "massive isolation" HD280 Pro's as early on in their career as possible...

So Am I
Loving every minute
for US$100 i would have gotten the hd280s!!! I have tried my friend's pair of 5000's and they wouldnt block out as much sound as the mdr-v700s.. quality is ok..
I Dont know about your friend, but I have tried both kinds, the Sony and the Pioneer, the Sony blocks external sounds ok, but with the Pioneer, I'm listening to a track, and even if i scream, I can barely hear myself.
And the quality rocks, much better than the MDR-V700, the bass is more real and the volium is great too, 105 db...
Errrrrrrrrrrrrr
Scorchio, Plz stop dissing my Sony MDR V700, i think they're great, they block out tremendes amount of sound, they look gr8, they sound gr8
so wtf is ur problem!?!?!!?
Stop saying, "Oh this is better then this", its really gettin me pissed off
Excuse me?!
I Am intitled to have my own opinion, and I think the Pioneer are better than the Sony.
You dont have to agree with me but you need to respect my opinion.
So relax!

)
BTW, The HD280 Pro costs way way way WAY much money then the Pioneer over here, almost 2 times more.
So I decided not to bust my wallet and got me the Pioneer...
Energy
Chill mate you know I love you, lets not get into a stupid fight over a pair of headphones...
*Bows to the MDR-V700*
ya i know its a stupid fight...
im sorry u know i love u man
but bleh....!!!!!, people just keep dising those headphones, not that i mind, but just for the record, they are not bad at all!!..
Come on guys...
Wherever you are, you SHOULD have a great 'budget' headphone and a great 'extreme' headphone..
I mean, just choosing between this list:
Sennheiser HD212 Pro
Sennheiser HD280 Pro
Sennheiser HD25
Sony MDR-V6
Sony MDR-7506
Beyerdynamic DT250-80
you are BOUND to find *SOMETHING* in your area! And, of course, you can order all but those two Sony's from www.headphone.com who ship worldwide..
And then, of course, there are the various dealers at shopping.yahoo.com that ship internationally, and, of course, the local dealerships listed at the Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, and Sony websites..
PIONEER SEDJ5000s BEST HEADPHONES EVER!!
u know im just

Gluegun, i need to ask u something
i've seen alot of djs lately use the sennheiser HD-25..
now, what is so speciel about them?!!?, i mean they look so small and uncomfortable, do they go on ur ear or around ur hear?... can u gimme some details about'em plz?,.. thx

They go on the ear, are the best 'normal' dj headphone (ie, you can wear them *ANY WAY ON YOUR HEAD THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE*, they have slightly boomy bass, are extremely sensitive, etc. etc.), but I would still take the larger, bulkier, less-boomy, more-isolating hd280 pro's over the hd25's.
However, at this level, it is completely, utterly, and wholly personal preference!! For DJ's, neither is 'better' than the other, so demo both and choose which is best for you with your equipment!
i dont personaly need them.. but i just wanted to know why most dj'z use them, they look so uncomfortable!!!.. i mean to mix 2 hours stright with those annoying headphones on ur head.. bleh.. i'd still stick with my 700'z

If you use one of the *many* alternate ways of wearing them, they should be prefectly comfortable....
i have the choice between getting the technics rpdj1200 & the pioneer se-dj5000's... and im not sure which ones i should get...
which would you guys recommend? the pioneer are $10 cheaper than the technics...
i say get the rp1200a

I had the same choice, i tested them in the store...definitly the rp1200 , nice comfortable leather headband , (pioneer has a plastic headband) and the technics r much better build....and they have both a great sound....i took the rp1200
