I love the melody and the chick singing! Once you get this finished it'll sound like a cool chill track.

it's a remix of "jazzanova - no use", the original is fucking superb, and i personally think i'm kinda disgracing it by trying to remix it with my terrible production skills.

but i appreciate the input, man.

Posted by Omega_Blue on Sep-13-2008 00:48:

i don't even really wanna post this up since my early version is so inferior to the original, but here it is just for reference

You productions make me want to stop even trying.

Very sound production so far - and I liked the way the pads sound. Original is an interesting little number, but the only thing I really miss from it is the plucked guitar.

All in all still solid for as little time as I'm sure you spent on it.

/mildly interesting

Edit: Also, I'd like to hear it at about 5:30AM in March or April. Just feels like that kind of tune.

dude i was thinking the same thing about the guitar, was going to do it myself and add a little guitar solo during the break.. but i think it'll sound like shitty blues cheese soooo... yeah.

thanks for the feedback though, i appreciate it.

time spent: about 4 hours.. meh.

Yeah. Was it even that much on whatever the devil remix it is that's in my CD case right now with the chick vocals and the kind of proggy/housy vibe?

I haven't been able to ID that for anyone who's asked because I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

Anyway, yeah - try something with the guitar. Even if it comes out shit, meh - it's worth a shot.

back when i still played the guitar fairly often i always had the big idea of producing everything by myself, drums, other guitar, bass, etc, but was too lazy to do it, so maybe now's the time i guess.

as for the other track, imogen heap - headlock, but the version you have is hella unfinished, and when i formatted/reinstalled xp for the last time i fuckin formatted my external instead, losing all samples, flp files, etc. so it probably won't see the light of day.

Posted by kadomony on Sep-13-2008 01:55:

i have nothing finished so enjoy my recent unfinished shit!

Ever heard of Celldweller? He's this vaguely industrial/alternative artist that produces and records everything on his own. Hard not to respect that. Afaik, Trent Reznor, in his earlier days, did something similar.
