Worst Pizza...
I have eaten the worst slice of pizza that I ever had in my life...I thought that even the cheapest frozen pizza, you know the little ones that come in a pack of 12 for $4, was not only cheaper but in comparison gourmet to the poor excuse for food that not only did I not enjoy but also paid for.
I just clipped my toenails.
And I farted.
I was just reading a thread on TA and my dog farted on my cat.

But hey, don't take my word for it. take a trip to san fransisco foods, just west of dufferin on finch, and give it a try...maybe the slice i got was just stale...plenty of garages next door so you can get an oil change in the meantime.
lol i've had a slice there before too, never been back which sucks because its real close to work.

| Originally posted by geroin i've tried similar pizza in st eustache qc, it cost us 30+bucks when we eventually had the pizza delivered it was missing 3 of the toppings we asked for and had 2 of the toppings we didn't ask for (extra cheese and green peppers). Not only it was not cut! but when we tried to pick up a slice all the toppings would just come off the pizza and you were left with the worst tasting wet and uncooked piece of dough, yes i can't even call it bread, it was fucking white. You could literally take all the dough and make your own version of the pizza if you wanted to be creative. Anyways, after strugling for the next 30min and ruining half of the pizza we decided that it would be better if we left it overnight and ate it next day when it was cold and had everything stuck to it. Yes, it actually tasted better next day! The only thing that saved us from hunger at 3am was the order of mild chicken wings that came with it. The only thing, they were hot as fuck. After having like 10 of them i couldn't fall asleep for 3hours and had to drink at least 5bottles of water to calm my stomach down. |
There's a strange liking for plain tomato pizza in Quebec. When I was a kid, shortly after my folks came off the boat, there was cheap pizza in grocery stores sold in rectangular slabs wrapped in shrink-wrap. All it was was thick bread that's elastic when it comes off your teeth, and pizza sauce. That's it, nothing else.
Over the years, I've begun to see them cut in single serving pieces and shrink-wrapped for sale at depanneurs (convenience stores) by the cash. Like the only way people would buy them is on impulse.... but no, people seem to really like them.
I was in Montreal over the weekend, and I still see them in stores today. To make matters more bizzare, I've seen them there in bulk, as nearly 1 by 2 foot slabs of them stacked a couple of feet high and watched people buy them. Weird. Good thing I had my 2 pounds of unrefrigerated squeeky cheese curds petting my nose with the fresh cheese aroma, and my pushing my 200 lb shopping cart as it was also filled with $20 cases of beer. We're getting so ripped off here.
It sorta looks like this, but with an extremely thin layer of sauce and orange colour crust due to the oil smushed around in the sarad wrap.

its tomato sauce, back in Syria we ate the same thing.
You can sprinkle dried peppermint on top for extra awesomeness.
Ya, it's tomato sauce... just plain. The dough's texture is much too glutinous. Though I am sure it would be different in other countries where it is made to perfection, however it's not the same as a similar one I had at a bakery in Madrid, where there the sauce had a delightful blend of herbs on a crispy on the outside and fluffy dough which felt like balerinas dancing on my palate.
if you buy it from a good baker fresh, it is awesome...anything you buy shrinkwrapped and thrown on a shelf will suck.
mmmmmmmmmmmm piiizzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
pizza with bocconcini and tomatos... ooooooooooohhhhhh soooo goooood!

Neither of us had ever been before so we wanted to give it a try.
$28.24 for a large pizza and 12 wings
You'd think for that price we would have gotten good service too.
No - we waited 25 minutes (the place was dead) and the guy couldn't understand half of the toppings we wanted and we read them right off the list. I think he had never heard the word zucchini before in his life.
Anyway - pizza was mediocre, wings were undercooked and tasted like cauliflower and farts.
I don't understand their justification for charging almost 30 bucks for an order like that. I think they must still be paying royalties to the guy who came up with that long, catchy advertising jingle.
