The US blockade/embargo of Cuba

What are your thoughts? I have never found it to be something even worth our time. Why is the US so staunch in this shit? I understand the hostilities that were created, but they are a sovereign country, why are we interfering so much with them?

The movie was released to theaters in 1983. The movie was probably in the making for 2 years. So that puts the ACTUAL MAKING of the movie in 1981ish. So considering the script has to be mostly written if not finished by then, give it a year before that? Seriously, don't be fucking stupid.

Seriously, I love the movie, but that movie is 25yrs old now. That is more than half the time of the blockade. You could have still made the movie.
