------

Another great Danny Howells mix. I'll need to listen to this a few more times before I can give an actual opinion but so far I really like what I hear. It IS Howells after all and I've never been disappointed with any of his releases.

Unlike his previous releases; this one features a number of his own tracks which are pretty impressive. CD1 is very very chill, like something he would play in the first hour of one of his extended sets. Very sexy house. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon hang over. CD2 on the other hand is a little more pounding a'la Howells at 1AM-ish. As always, Howells has some exclusive edits on this release.

Anyone else listen to this?

Ps. This is exclusively on iTunes, for those that want to buy it online. You can also get it on CD somewhere. HMV doesn't have it.

I approve.

I actually really liked the first CD - yes, it's hardly something I'd be rocking out to in a club, but it's been extremely difficult lately to find that sort of low-key, loungey house music that's more than just tedious minimal percussion and clicks. It's sparse, but it still has substance.

Second CD reminded me of his "Continental" mix from some years ago which I still listen to fairly often. It's a bit less on the funky side and more on the techy... or uh, futuristic, whichever part of his tagline you prefer - but you can tell that he put some effort into the track selection. It flows really nicely and it's just fun. Even threw in a tiny bit of breakbeat for good measure.

Definitely looking forward to the party now.

just got this in the mail two days ago. Gave it a quick run through, not a full on stereo cranked yet. From what I heard, excellent tunes. Great flow.. typical Danny styles. Picks it up so nicely on the second disc. Stopped and listened to his own productions in full... really diggin' "Laid Out"...perfect bumpin' tune.

I think this CD will be on heavy rotation as much as his GU was a few years back. Why couldn't this have come out at the beginning of the summer?!

I hate wishing time away, but right now I can't wait until October 25th!

just listened to both CD's, wasnt impressed at all. I found it to be rather sleepy.

I was pretty disappointed. I thought it lacked cohesion, and I didn't really find any of the tracks to be stand-alone caliber...not that a good mix needs that, but for Howells I was unimpressed.
