Hmm looks good, don't recognise all the names... but from the few I do it looks like it won't be too bog standard or too proggy or both.

Expectations met and exceeded.

Nice and uplifing, with great melodies and quite dancey. Great tracks, great flow, and very solid overall (with a fair bit of fun thrown in too). One of my favourite psy sets. Perfect example of what full on (and a full on set) should be.

Awesome transitions in particular too.

Nice set! It starts off progressive, but gets a couple full-on tracks thrown in there. Has some really good tracks. Overall, very well done.

I agree. This is a very tasty set, both musically and in terms of your mixing skills. This is getting lots of play time on the walkman and at work. Thanks Freesoup!! I'll keep an eye out for any future psy-type sets you do.

Cheers,

THC

Its the mix of Cellophane & Neuromotor - FM Jacket. I was searching for an old thread and noticed I never replied to this. 4 years later? Fun.

Where is Blank? Never heard of that night. If I'd known there was a place in Leeds on Friday playing psy-trance I'd have been there... spent the whole night in the smoking area at Digital Society waiting for J00F to play.

Also, do you play out in or around Leeds regularly?

Posted by Freesoup on Feb-02-2012 16:48:

Blank was actually an event I ran in Leeds myself with some friends as an alternative dance music event. We originally hosted upstairs at Digital Society before they moved the event from stinkys to the O2 arena.

Some financial difficulty we had with them wanting us to do everything for free caused me to pull the plug in the end, I lost a fair amount of money prior to that which would have spiralled out of control had it continued.

Unfortunately my gigs are few and far between these days, the industry isn't what it once was and I'm not willing to sell my soul just to DJ. I still try and write music when I can but sadly unless that takes off your unlikely to see me play out any time soon.

Hope you enjoyed the mix.

Oh shit. Totally didn't notice that little detail. Got a little over-excited at the prospect of another psy-trance night in Leeds.
