Harvest Festival 2008

Has anyone ever been? Any stories, or know anyone who has been? Looks pretty intense. Probably great to trip out to.

Check the pics, the statues and figures are really out there.

Amazing party, been the past two years. I cant make it this year sadly Last year I was looking forward to this year before I even left the party.

Harvest Fest is a GREAT party with an excellent vibe, similar to that of old Cherry Beach parties, but better. Amazing sense of community there. A shame that most TA's dont grasp the concept of dancing 'outside the box' and attend this event.

Worm Popper

The roll call got swept to the second page rather quickly.

I'll be there.

Yeah, I think people let the lack of 'international headlining DJs' scare them off.

Really, Toronto has killer local talent - you don't need a big-name to have a good time. The music is top-notch most of the night, the vibe is hard to find anywhere else. Dancing outside like that is ace, and the location is stellar - one of the most beautiful spots I've been to for an outdoor party.

Looking forward to next year, not going to let anything get in my way of going But, the past two years I'd rank Harvest up there as like, my #2 favorite party of the year (right behind Mutek)

Although, Music (for me) is almost 2ndary to the overall harvest expierence. The random encounters with people, the adventure of exploring the land, it's a nice chance to decompress, relax and reflect on the previous summer and what you need to do in the upcoming months (especially when I used to have a year of school ahead of me)

I'd come back feeling refreshed, energized, and motivated for the school year ahead. Toss in killer music, friendly people - and whats not to love?

*sigh* --- if it wasn't for my mom asking me to be home this weekend because of a surgery she is having, I would be at Harvest in a heartbeat.

Yes, there's a fair amount of DJ worship around here. Not what Harvest is about.

Always excited for Harvest! Definitely one of the best parties of the year -- the location and atmosphere are just incredible.

Can't wait to unleash our live p.a. in the techno tent! Check out the feature on Metalogic in this week's Eye Magazine.

Like every year, me and other peeps from drummersinexile will be there, drumming our djembes all night long by the bonfire

The farm is surreal and people are uber cool and friendly, perfect environment to party.

Kudos to Justin & crew.

Can't wait.

I was being invited/highly encouraged to go with a freind 2 years ago, sounded like fun... but the sleeping in the barn part threw me off. Ya, there's camping but...

Not like you actually sleep that much - music runs all night / into mid-morning. Tent is just a spot to throw your gear while you party, and a spot to catch a few Z's before driving home.

First year I went, the ride I went up with didn't even take a tent. (However, I took a tent, inflatable mattress + duvet and was oh so cozy)

I'm heading up.
Looking forward to a good time whooping it up in the great outdoors with a great crowd and great music.
