Bands with drug/drinking problems
It fails to surprise me how ridiculous some of these musicians are. Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones whacks a guy with his guitar... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv1bM0pp_o4
Lars from Metallica is just a flat out nut... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmHx2blktwU
And here we have some unknown struggling bands who can't handle their liquor... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF6VEwa9JR0
Don't see many DJ's getting out of hand.. or maybe we just don't hear about it.
cause Djs are pussies

Who cares what they do?
I have seen plenty of DJs totally wrecked. You just have to see them backstage before or after they DJ. They *try* to keep their composure most of the time for the gig.

One night I was playing two sets, one from 10-11:30, and another from 12:30-2.
Following the first I found myself completely mashed thanks to excessive amounts of shots and drinks being handed to me.
I realized something needed to happen before I tried to play my second set, and began to make my way to the bathroom only to realize I wasn't going to make it.
I raised the empty glass in my hand as if I were taking a drink and just let loose inside of it, being sure to toss the evidence in the first garbage can I saw.
Made it to the bathroom, water on the face, and I was good as new. The second set might have been one of the best I've ever played out.

haha
i love to drink when i write
if i get writers block my solution is usually drink a bit more
then i get distracted cause im' not sober and go play games or something, then close the game and see ableton there with nothing accomplished, get really sad and mad at myself for failing, and then i'm in the right mood to write
Protest the Hero.
The lead singer is a complete drunk nutcase!

His genius answer: "Nah boys I've got some streesch (coke) in my car". He got a night in the drunk tank for that, they were nice though and just tossed his stash down a sewer. |

| Originally posted by The17sss yeah i hear that. a couple years ago I was so hammered at a bar, that I couldn't speak any more and was about to go down with the ship. Then a friend of mine shows up with some blow. I go to the bathroom, do a couple of key bumps, and BAM! It was like someone put my head next to a gong right before it got pounded. I was instantly awake, full of energy, and ready to party for another couple of hours. Only thing that sucks is that I felt so sober, I went back to the bar... the next morning was horrible. |

| Originally posted by XaNaX I can't imagine anyone actually doing this. Heroin OD is treated with naloxone (alcohol would just kill you faster its a depressant also). There is no accepted treatment for cocaine OD but if you were trying a depressant you would use benzos not alcohol |
they smashed that guitar. what a waste!
So when you do a lot of Coke in a night and also drink like a fish. Are the two drugs actually counteracting one another? Or are the 'symptoms' of each just masked by the other? Meaning, are you high & drunk at the same time? Or actually sober, due to the depressant/stimulant interaction? I know I'm a drug noob.

Thanks for the response on that. Very informative, I wasn't aware that the body, actually combines the two to make a different drug than what was previously consumed. Are you a biology/chemistry student? Or have you just dealt with enough drugs to know?
