What are your top 3 driving pet peeves?
What are your top 3 driving pet peeves?
Mine:
1. Not correcting your parking (e.g. taking up 2+ spots)
2. Not using turn signals (especially when they would be useful to other drivers!)
3. People driving under the speed limit for no reason (e.g. it's not raining hard or icey and snowy)

Haha, I think we've had this thread before...
Mine are:
1. Women
2. Chinese
3. Old people
...OK, seriously, I guess the 3 biggest are:
1. Camping in the outer lane(s)
2. Rubbernecking
3. Unsafe lane changes/merges
Honourable mention goes to the douche barrels yammering into their cell phones and bimbos fiddling with their makeup, paying no attention whatsoever to the road. In fact, pretty much every peeve can be summed up as fucking idiots who don't know how to drive or can't concentrate on driving. When somebody does any of the things listed above, they usually do all of them and then some.
Not three, but whatever:
--People who needlessly drive under the speed limit
--People who sit in the right lane on a red light and do no move forward a few feet so that those wishing to turn right may do so
--People who change lanes without signaling
--People who change into my lane and are driving considerably slower than the speed at which my vehicle is traveling
--People who do not pull forward into the intersection when making a left-hand turn (this one really pisses me off)
--People who drive with their signals on when they do not intend to change lanes
--People who park too close to my car
--People who take a long time to back up when pulling out of a parking spot
--People who stop where stop signs and street lights are not present
--People who apply their brakes when there is no reason to do so
--People who drive with their emergency lights on while it is raining
I'm an angry driver; aggressive driving is a bad habit on which I need to work!
I should stay out of this thread cause my list is way too long

Definitely not using turn signals... at intersections or when merging.. ESPECIALLY MERGING.
Are you that fking lazy to move your one finger and push the little lever??!! ..oh right because you're soooo cool and risky woooooo.
Oh another thing...
I hate when people are at an intersection turning left, but waiting for the oncoming traffic to pass... ANND they don't move UP into the intersection. Instead they stay near the line, so if they gotta wait til the yellow/red, the guy behind them can't also make the turn. If guy 1 moved up a bit, then guy 2 would be too much in the intersection that he would HAVE to turn too. TUH.
PEOPLE WHO BRAKE ON THE HIGHWAY TO SLOW DOWN!!! UUUUUUUUUUGHHHHH!!!
... IF YOU NEED TO SLOW DOWN, RELEASE YOUR FOOT FROM THE GAS!!!

-Driving under the speed limit for no reason.
-Braking every 5 minutes for no reason (there is no one infront)
- Not checking blindspots and almost slamming into me
-People who don't move over when I'm flying up behind them in the left lane
-People who get on the highway and stay in the right lane and clog it up, making it more difficult for others who are trying to enter the highway
-People who leave 6 car lengths between them and the car infront at a red light
-People who don't know how to drive a 4-way stop
-People who stop even though there isn't a stop sign
-People who take more than 3 seconds to go at a green light
-People who are too fuckin blind to see the turn signal and end up just sitting there
-People who brake through a turn.
-People who drive 40-50 and clog up traffic just cuz they're lost and/or are looking for a certain address
-People who pull over on the side of the road instead of just moving their car to the next intersection/right turn lane(which isnt very far)
etc.
People these days only know how to operate a vehicle... it isn't driving. Driving requires skill which most people have none of.

so much road rage lol.
Cabbies.
this one may not affect anyone else...but i hate when people tap their breaks repeatedly...as to flash their break lights...either just slowly push down on the break pad or fuck off
blocking the box
slowing down up hill
- ppl who do a turn on a flashing green that has stopped or turned red even when they weren't in the intersection waiting to turn. They think they are being sneaking by going up the ass of the last person who is turning at the light. Meanwhile we are starting to cross into the intersection 'cause our light is green but can't since those idiots are illegally still turning on a turning green that has stopped for them 30 seconds ago!
Ok... this is my number one peeve...
STOP RUNNING THE FUCKING RED LIGHTS ! ! !
I'm sick and tired of playing Russian roulette every time I come to an intersection. I see ppl running the lights EVERY SINGLE DAY without exception. So many of them aren't even at the intersetion when it goes red.

my biggest, by far
1. people who drive 120 or less in the left lane on the highway and think they are going fast, not moving over to the right when you are right behind them when they could be going the SAME speed in the lane to the right with other vehicles
(fuck, sometimes i want to strangle these people)
like sasha mentioned, right lane is the new left
2. people who don't signal
3. people who drive exactly the speed limit or below on city streets (bathurst and steeles comes to mind)
- drivers making right turns onto main roads from side streets WITHOUT STOPPING and not bothering to speed up so you're forced to either change lanes or brake so you don't hit them
- drivers that tailgate you when even though there's a red light 50 feet ahead and then proceed to gun it passing you on the side while passing you only to hit their brakes feverishly so they can stop in time -- remedy: adjust your deceleration so you can end up at the intersection right when the light turns green and then accelerate past them
- drivers that STOP at a yield/merge even though you have your own dedicated lane -- I see this regularly at the entrance to Black Creek on Weston Rd and sometimes there are accidents because of it

I swear that's what my driver's ed teacher taught me. But then again, that was 8 years ago now, I could be wrong...or the rule could have changed. |
