What decks should I buy?

What's up people. There's so much technical info on DJ equipment that I'm reading about, it's making my head spin. I can mix pretty well with a computer, but I'm sick of its limitations and I want to buy some real deal turntables. What should I get that's solid quality, but also user friendly (considering I'll be teaching myself how to use it)?

I don't care about the price... so what's the best option for a n00b? Pioneer DVJ 1000 Pro? Or is that too advanced to start with? Should I get 2 so I can set them up side by side for the most realistic "on the job training" experience? I'm all ears

I'd want to go with CD, not vinyl just for the simple fact that I have zero vinyl experience. Can you guys provide any links for me to the products and/or a good place to buy the whole set up??

Sorry to sound like an ass. But it sure as hell seems like you're rushing into things. Learn what's out there, then you'll have a much easier time figuring out what setup is right for you. Google is your friend.

get some pioneer cdjs, they all function pretty much the same and a mixer. done.

What "limitations" are you concerned with as far as laptop mixing goes?

Not saying there's no reason to get decks, I'm just curious. Be sure that you are looking into decks for the right reasons rather than for a lack of knowledge.

I guess I was referring to the limitations of the tactile experience. I've grown bored with the computer... I want to learn the real way, mixing and playing sets with my hands. So, the prevailing suggestion seems to be the Pioneer CDJ's, correct?

+1. Unsure if im a snob, but i really do think people should learn how to mix on vinyl turntables. Then get some 1000's :0)

I would go with Technics 1200 and CDJ1000s. I use mostly digital music, but sometimes like today I had to order vinyl because there is no digital release.

Hi everyone!

So, today I am selling my DJ equipment...........

First, is a Numark Mixer......... 4 Channels........ awesome..........

Next, is an american DJ dual cD deck.......... totally sick.

The two above items are in a Shuttle case......... with a cover to keep it all safe.

As an amp, im selling a 250 watt Radio Shack amp. Dont let the name fool you, this thing hits HARD.

Speakers, i got 2 15" Cabinets, hand made by professionals. One of them, the tweeter doesnt work, but those are like 10 bucks. The subwoofers still pound hard. You can listen before you buy.

I have various lighting too ( 3 strobes, 2 sirens, laser FX machine, disco ball)

All this stuff has cost me well over $5000 just 2 years ago, im moving on and want it gone. $2000 o.b.o. takes it all.

Serious inquiries only.

Please respond to kijiji ad with any questions.
