Thanks, can you add any thoughts on what you liked and disliked. When I get back in the studio I am going to drop the highs a bit I feel its too bright. And I think the bassline needs some better positioning and maybe a different more tasteful line would be better.

I know it's good for my first track but I am not looking to take solace in that so I really need some opinions from some of you!

Thanks in advance

The intro was boring but 2:20-4:45 was sick! I didnt like the bassline that comes after that. I'd also lower the volume of the crashes

Thanks for the input. I didn't think about the intro but when you said that I definitely saw what you meant! Already adjusted the crashes and fx levels, as well as the overall eq of the track. I'll post the second version so you all can compare.

Aleks,

When you are speaking of the bassline that comes after 4:45 are you talking about what is the primary sound in the track immediately after the main lead stops?

Your opinion is much appreciated, will get a new version up tonight

Posted by mfitterer1 on Sep-24-2008 01:16:

ok ok!

I have not slept in a day and a half and my eyes hurt like hell!

BUT. I made a ton of progress last night and the track has changed a lot. I left the old version up on my myspace as a reference point. The newer one is the one that says v1.2 by it.

Ok so what im looking for with feedback now is more in regard to the coloring of the instruments, opinions on if the snare roll needs to be changed slightly or if it works well, and anything else you would like to share!

The hard work is seeming to pay off with this one!

Look forward to everyones opinions and reactions

-Michael

(Oh and if you're a producer also feel free to send me an add!)

How does this new myspace music player work. I have my track uploaded and it shows and everything but I can't figure it out it's not showing up in the actual player? Can anyone figure it out?

Posted by adi_hanson on Sep-25-2008 19:47:

Posted by mfitterer1 on Sep-26-2008 00:37:

I know me neither I don't know how to get this damn thing to work. It's uploaded but myspaces new player is OBVIOUSLY too intelligent for me!

Ok got the damn thing to work finally! Go check it out!

I like the idea behind the track, i like the patch choices, HOWEVER: Nothing much is happening after you introduce the stabby type supersaw and the explosion..... it just keeps on building in some kind of break, which then again is not really a break.

So a lot of potential, nice FX and some good ideas, it only bores me 2 death after 3mins.....

Sorry guys an old version is up on myspace right now.

I deleted the file and uploaded the new one but that old file continues to stay in the player and the new one is nowhere to be found.

The one you heard was the first draft of a second remix of the track im doing just experimentally to see what I can get out of it. Its not even supposed to be on my page! Stupid myspace! Unfortunately I cannot get the bastard down now! I already sent myspace an email.

So I am going to upload it on rapidshare and deal with it that way for now. Here is the link!

Screw myspace!

Gonna listen to it tonight. Tried it last night but your player wasn't working

Posted by mfitterer1 on Sep-26-2008 07:18:

Apparently im not the only one! Myspace just issued a press release!

"Early this morning we rolled out a new music player for artist profiles and users. There are some bugs I want all the artists to know we are working on them--namely, inaccurate song play counts, song upload errors for new users, and bands can no longer order their songs. We are comitted to fixing these bugs soon. We know your plays were hard-earned and you'll get them back. :-) Thanks for your patience while we work out these new features. Please know that we have a lot more features coming that will help you promote your band and will help MySpace users enjoy your music. Thanks so much !"

At least they got on it quick

Yeah I really wanted to get the sounds the way I wanted them first then I'm going to over haul the arrangement. This is a huge learning process for me, I've been spending 5 or 6 hours on the track, put it down, go throw the ipod on shuffle, listen, and then add/subtract and change. Rins and repeat! I am definitely going to keep plugging at it

Thanks for the listen and thoughts, much appreciated!

Edited OP with a new link. Basically done with the track now, really like the way it is right now. Played it out last night and got good reviews. Of course my peers opinions mean more though so chime in please!

Hey m8, listen, I don't want to bitch around but I can't use the track on a release now. You should know that you should never post an entire track for feedback, atleast, not one that is aiming to be released. Although I thought your track was good, it's useless now!

I would still like to ask you to remove a link an replace it with a link to your remix with the intro's and outro's cut off or something.
