traktor djm 800 zone 1d?

So I have a djm 800 and 2 cdj 200s
I really want to start using traktor
Do I need something like the xone 1d to hook up to my djm800 so it will work with traktor?
I heard traktor sometimes doesnt synch right with 200s also, anyone have experience with this?

dude it has like midi out, i think all u needs is a cheapo midi interface/usb.

1d is just a midi controller. you'll need a soundcard of some sorts with at least 4 outs, assuming you want to use only 2 channels.

just taking a stab at this, but im assuming you want to use traktor with 4 deck support? if thats the case, you'll need something with 8 outs...check out the xone 2D, native-instrument's audio dj 8, or what ever suits you.

just hook up your djm800 to the soundcard via midi cable...midi out from the djm into the midi in on the soundcard if you want to send bpm info from your cdjs

One way to get Traktor to work with ANY Mixer is by routing the sound through your headphones out on your computer.

Traktor lets you configure the audio output so that the left channel is one track and the right channel is another track. This only works with two decks.

So you'll need 3 cables. 1 - 1/8 (headphone) to RCA. Than two RCA Y Cables. One for each channel.

You hook up the 1/8 to your laptop's headphone out, than you hook up each RCA y cables to each RCA coming out of the 1/8th. Than you hook up the RCA to the LINE channels on your mixer.

Now you can go into Traktor preferences and change them to route the audio through headphones.

TADA!!! You now have HANDS on control over the audio and EQ of each track on Traktor. HOWEVER, you still have to do the mixing using the computer.

If you want true hands on mixing, you can get a midi controller like that behringer BCD3000.

Now that I re-read your question, I realized that you more than likely are talking about TRAKTOR SCRATCH!!! That's Serato's competition. If you get that, everything you need comes in the box. There's no need to get a midi interface because it comes with its own soundcard plus it works with any mixer.

so with traktor scratch, you can use the xone 1d through the provided soundcard (audio 8) to your mixer? and with the xone 2d you can connect straight to your mixer and avoid buying the audio 8 dj?

i love you! i've been looking for a way to use my new setup with traktor and hadnt found a coherent response anywhere until i stumbled upon this post. THANK YOU!

I use a BCD2000 with traktor and its ok, but I find they make scratching very difficult. Timecode vinyls would be heaps better imo.
