Was there that night...I think overall it was too slow of a set for a large venue like Kool Haus, but it has its moments. Sounds good right now though. I think this is more suited for personal listening.

so thats what he was playing all night lol

couldnt hear shit through the bass

lol, yea really....

I don't remember this set sounding this good at all. This just goes to show how much a difference good/bad sound can make at a party.

ohhh right! the sound was screwed up at the Kool Haus! I remember the mids being drowned out...it's actually not sounding that bad right now but I still don't know if it would be good for a live set

lol yes.
I was listening to the set and I'm like, I don't remember this. Oh yeah. The bass was too fucking loud.

I'm of opinion that before hitting the decks, the DJ should do a soundcheck by going to the middle of the dance floor. Because in the end, the DJ is responsible for the final product.

Don't a lot of them already do that? Before the doors are open to the public that is.
Although it does differ slightly when the room is full of people.

p.s. yeah I don't remember the set sounding this good either, no matter where I stood that night.

I'd imagine in a big club, the DJs trust the sound tech guys to do that.
Unfortunately not in every club you get competent sound techs

lol! same here. I put it on with the intention of listening for a few minutes last night and I ended up listening to the whole thing. The whole time I was thinking "WTF! I don't remember it sounding this good!"

Wise words and quite relevant to the Guv (more so in reference to the main room).

Posted by Nobbie Q on Sep-24-2008 22:49:

They jack up the sound soo much in the main room, you'd think for a "world class" club they'd handle that much better.

aah...What a night WHAT A PARTY !
