a little SPIN on friday nights in san diego...

Im glad SPIN has landed in SD,

On Broadway has
Benny Bennassi
DJ DAN
Chris Lawrence/John Flemming
the first 3 fridays of october

as opposed to the line up at SPIN
scooter/lavelle
crystal method
sultan

still have yet to check out spin, unless they step it up and get more Carl cox type nights(4th friday of october) and there arent any more cancellations(sander k) not sure i'll be inclined to.

The bottom line on that is that Spin blows the other clubs out of the water in vibe, production, location, parking, and is open until 4am. Sure the night for night lineup might not be stacked in it's favor right now, but where were you 2-3 months ago when it was?
Giant is not also as heavy on the trance as On broadway is, so if you prefer that genre then the choice is simple.
I was pleasantly suprised by Miguel Migs dropping an awesome set the other night.. and they even busted out the kryo for him - love that shit!

i saw robbie at on broadway before. i enjoyed seeing him play.

why couldnt giant get him thur/fri/sat? especially with him being in sd friday nite? perhaps he just prefers on broadway just like PVD prefers 1015 in SF.

Robbie at on broadway will be a night ending at 130....
robbie at spin would be a night ending at 4am...

I agree with your statement by far! Spin is an awesome club.....and is well worth going to check out (especially if you have not been yet)

Probably has client relations well before Giant was operating in SD with Tim Ortiz and has a contract to work with him in SD. Who knows though... but that's my guess.

Club Montage... opps I mean Spin blows On Broadway out of the water as far as a venue is concerned. I'll say that OB did a good job with their sound upgrade though.

I'd say it was upgraded. SvD sounded much better than the few times I went to OB to catch other trance dj's.
