Breakfast & Saint Jules - Only Two Should Know (Moody Remix)

the main mix is boring typical wonky breakfast lines.

the campfire mix is minimal. but not bad.

the moody mix is absolutely class.

brilliant trance. great feeling.
sounds 10 times better with a high quality copy and headphones. check out the youtube low quality clip and turn it up. let all the elements start up and come together. a good trance tune in 2008

No but it's just one of the countless tracks following the exact same formula than what artists like Adam K (& Soha), Glenn Morrison, Deadmau5, Inpetto, Jose Amnesia and several others have been doing recently.

No, but this is a blatantly obvious attempt at emulating that style.

That being said, it's not a bad track at all, but I have trouble seeing past it just because it's so glaringly clear what's happening there.

obviously :P

and, they weren't "attempting to emulating that style."

Ya but this is a good track...the "sound" isn't even so in your face as many of the other tracks like it. It's a style of track, and there's good and bad in everything.

Yeah because when someone has a kick and chords in their tracks that means they are copying deadmau5.

my first thought

my second thought (more of a "damn it, after 'eternal'...")

fixed that for you

i don't hear anything catchy or worthy in this tune.

it certainly wasn't intentional

Oh, come on. Really?

C'mon, play them at the same time. I just did a mashup in-browser. Fuck Traktor, I'm playing off of YouTube from now on.

A friend of mine has been doing that for a while, I tried it too. He's even tried to program a simple crossfader that will fetch videos from youtube and crossfade from one to the other. Too bad quality is crap, the availability of tracks is pretty good.

Posted by jupiterone on Sep-26-2008 16:48:

campfire mix is so much better than this

lol, that's pretty funny. Have him add a pitch control and I'll buy it.

Yes, really.

It's just amazing to me that you couldn't think there is a difference in the formula used here. I'm not arguing the quality or enjoyability of the track at all, but the formula is glaringly obvious.

As said before, just because it has the same formula as a certain producer is known for using, it doesn't mean that they were intentionally trying to copy that producer's "style."

When the style is so distinct, I beg to differ. Agree to disagree, I suppose.

Filterheadz-Day At The Beach Original Mix

Eric Prydz-Pjanoo Original Mix

listen to these 2. they sound exactly the same in "formula"... who are you saying is copying who? as they are both accomplished producers. music can only be a certain formula or else it doesnt work.

the moody mix of the breakfast tune is simple but it works. it feels great. theres bound to be hundreds of tunes like it before, and there will be after.
