I seriously love this shit, definitely my spirit of choice. I always keep a bottle at home.

As a matter of fact, I'm gonna fix me up a Gin & Tonic right now.

I also started drinking this pretty recently as i said, do i dont know if all tonics are the same or not.

I learned the hard way that gin and pellegrino does not = gin and tonic

:/gin noob but learning.

Tanqueray ftw, but it's damn strong by itself.

+1, this is what I usually buy. I also get a bottle of Bombay Sapphire now and then.

Posted by Fledz on Sep-25-2008 01:58:

Bombay Sapphire is good but it's taste isn't clean enough and it's too distinctive for me.

Here's my favourite and a damn fine gin to get, Martin Millers. It's about $80 a bottle but well worth it.

Fresh lime is a must with G&T. Looooooove it!

no thanks.

maybe when i'm 80

I actually find Bombay Sapphire rather "cleaner" than let's say Tanqueray, but I love the citrus flavor that is so much stronger in Tanqueray so I prefer it.

Do you mean it's $80 Australian? Because I just googled it and it's about $28 - $30.

Yea, AUD$80. It's imported and that's shop price so of course it's more. Most prices you find on the net are so too low and quite often not true. It should be cheaper in the states though.

Because G&T is considered an old persons drink and that's because they've had enough years pass to actually know what a good drink is. It really is one of the best summery drinks you can get.

For an even more refreshing summer drink, try Cointreau with lemonade (sprite or whetever), with a few fresh limes. Never, ever for the love of God use lime cordial.
