I'm certainly interested even if everything they've made after Hold Your Colour has been wank. Where is it?

I remember seeing them, Grooverider (lolprison), and some other people here back in 2006 at the Loft and it was pretty mega.

Oh, and their 2005 Essential Mix is, well, absolutely essential. I started fucking gurning in my car to that shit for the longest. Good times.

Rasta

Bong and I have been planning to see this for a while. That'll include our normal d&b crowd as well, I'm sure.

Does anyone know at what time it ends?

I thought you would've heard it

The first half hour is intense (opening with Blood Sugar is l tits). The rest of it is damn good too, including Smashing Pumpkins remixes and the like.

I will have all the details very soon but I am pretty sure this is an early concert type show and should be over by around 11:30. Keep in mind this is pendulum live and not the dj set. The live show is a lot different the the dj show.

You need to understand just how short the length of time I've been "into" edm actually is. :

I listened to the first 20 minutes or so last night right before I went to sleep. Was pretty nice stuff, I'm not a huge dnb fan but I could probably rock out to this pretty hard.

Posted by Caution_BiPolar on Sep-26-2008 19:04:

... that early? Might have to be crossed off the list for us then

Posted by Rose on Sep-26-2008 20:05:

Only saw them once at Ultra in 2007. They were pretty good. It's such a hassle trying to convince my boyfriend to take me to events lol first I had to convince him for Markus but then I ended up not going to Georgia. Then I convinced him for Prydz but it fucking got cancelled. If this event gets cancelled I'm going to be pissed and now I need to *TRY* to convince him to go with me.

11:30? I hope it doesn't end that early!

Yeah, that's the case with Pendulum; they're Fisher Price dnb. Many people who aren't exactly *into dnb* (me included) can bosh out to Pendulum. Problem is, I think they recognized this and decided to commercialize their shit so outright that they sorta lost all charm with me.

example 1

example 2

example 3

yeah. They never really had much respect in the dnb scene even with Hold Your Colour. But now they have none whatsoever, and it's sorta depressing that they make this shit now. I can still thrash about to some of it, like Granite, the second sample, but still... meeeehhhhh.

I honestly didn't like shit off In Silico, didn't listen to much though.

PEGACORN DNB COMMENCE

What's up with people not wanting this to be an early show? I thought that was one of the problems on week days.

Anyways, the only time I've heard of these guys was in an article about live acts or something. Could be interesting.

Well I don't want it to end early because I think my boyfriend and I are going to get there a bit late (he lives in Griffin, plus he gets out of class at 9:30).

i would be skipping class if i was in school to go to this. 1 day of missing class shouldn't hurt that bad.

I'd go hit up Pendulum. Darkstep is darkstep, even if it IS kidna commercial.

darkstep? is that what they call tech step these days? and how is Pendulum considered part of that subgenre? you're talking like tech itch, e-sassin, bad company, mampi swift, and the likes?
