Only had a quick listen...first half or so is great but the mix fades a little towards the end.

Good comp overall. Better than his EM imo

Lot of huge tracks on there...I mean, even I've heard of them

is that a Ferris Bueller's Day Off snippet in Orbitalife?

absolutely no flow to this.

anyone know the track playing in the beatport sample?

I don't get most of the praise Matthew Dear has been getting. This guys is FUCKING BORING. His EM was awful and this doesn't sound like much based on what I've heard so far.

I really like "Asa Breed" and a fair number of his tracks. Haven't heard much live, and haven't really jumped to listen to this - so I've no idea what it's like. I have heard opinions on both sides of the fence, but most seem to fall on the "meh" side.

Get Physical is the German MNML hipster version of DFA

popularity of the label aside, there are still a few decent releases on it that i deem more than playable.

this comp though is shit and a clinic on how to make good tracks sound boring by throwing them in anywhere.

he seems to be a much better dj live than in the studio for whatever reason. it's odd, really. wasn't too impressed with this or the EM, but he's been excellent each time I've seen him.

Posted by elFreak on Oct-24-2008 20:01:

i agree...i really enjoy him, but i think i should always keep my expectations lowered when he records when the lazzers turned off.

maybe its the drugs, maybe its the music...

not all of us do drugs.

I actually think this cd is way better than his live sets. I like this more than Sascha Funke's Watergate comp.

I have never been able to get into 95% of Dear's work, especially productions. I'll look for this and give it a try though.

Same. I bought Asa Breed and liked 1 or 2 tracks on the whole cd
