Djing live

I'm doing a DJ performance at school. I basically need some upbeat songs that aren't too hardcore and aren't to slow. Also, I kind of want a helmet (like daft punk or deadmau5). Where can I buy those kinds of helmets?

You can't just go out and buy a daft punk helmet or Deadmau5 head. They are custom-made.

You'd be surprised to find they are actually at Joann's Fabrics. Woo.

Why do you need an helmet to DJ ? Seriously

Is it for a trademark somehow so people will know you as the DJ with the helmet in the town ?

are you fucking kidding me right now... wow... every day i want to bash my head harder and harder against a brick wall

as for your question, you go to "dj-helmets-r-us"

make sure you go to the one with the backwards R, not the one with the proper R, they'll just dick you around

Its a trademark they have down. You want to go infront of your school with a helmet.

How bout you just wait til halloween and dress up as John Heder from the Benchwarmers. Helmet included.

Problem Solved.

Then let the man custom-make his own

Posted by Imagin on Sep-30-2008 13:58:

Or he could allways go with Dark Helmet (Spaceballs is the Shit lol)

www.dancerecords.com
www.juno.co.uk
www.beatport.com
www.audiojelly.com
www.yourfuckinglocalrecordstore.com

You're the DJ. You pick the tunes.

And please don't wear a helmet. The kids at your school, who probably have never seen deadmau5, are just going to think that you don't want to show your face. This would be the case if you actually showed up wearing it.

I've got a better idea, how about you make a track, then you can make the exact sound you want (which is an electro house, gabba, tiestotrance crossover). Make your own helmet, and make sure your artist is dj something.

Remember, the more shitty genres your track is influenced by the quicker it will take to produce. I'd recomend fl studio for the actual creation process (which is the easy part, picking a dj name is the hard bit).

Tony said it best, dj-helmets-r-us has the best stock. now don't forget to put in the backwards "r" or else you won't be able to find the site. here are some hot ones for '08

now personally this is what i wear, because i like swimming in my own shit while i spin
