Favorite Sketch CD/Set/Mix?

So it's 4am... you decided to leave the club, no afterhours, no afterparties... you and a couple friends and a couple of treats and nothing to do Sunday...

What CD/set/mix do you listen to, or put on?

Currently, two favorites of mines are:

duke_dumont-europeans_do_it_better_set_live_from_hamburg_dec_07_192kbps_mp3

and...

Green_Velvet_-_live_at_cafe_capital_sub-scape_antwerp-stream-02-05-2008-FL.mp3

Yours?

i think i missed the class where they teach you how cool it is to broadcast your drug use publicly.

Posted by Mach X on Sep-29-2008 06:33:

It's not cool at all... but it's honest... and it's true amongst alot of us here... why can't we talk about it?

Posted by chinamon on Sep-29-2008 06:36:

its one thing to ask what people like to listen to after a party but stating drug use is unnecessary.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Sep-29-2008 06:40:

This reminds me of that Simpson's episode where Otto and Homer were stoner buddies, and Otto was all like "Remember that time I dropped my keys...and you thought the phone was ringing??"

Lmfao. Ahhhhh good times. What was the question again?

Posted by Mach X on Sep-29-2008 06:42:

I said nothing about drug use.... AT ALL!

But that being said... the choice of what you would listen to after a party could differ if you did, or did not do drugs, and dependent on wether or not you consumed drugs or even if you did choose to do said drugs, which ones you did.

Alcohol is a drug...

What did you mean by treats, then? OMG IS IT ANAL BEADS??

Posted by Mach X on Sep-29-2008 06:50:

If you understood the term "treats" as anything but the literal definition of:

treat, treated, treating, treats.n.
Something, such as one's food or entertainment, that is paid for by someone else.
A source of a special delight or pleasure: His trip abroad was a real treat.

Then I guess you could assume that one was talking about drugs, or that one was talking about something that they enjoyed doing that gave them pleasure. ie. candy, a muffin, a bottle of beer, a midget, clowns, cold refreshing cola beverage, ciggarettes, vaginal pounding, monkeys...

I like to throw some boots into the dyer, instant jungle mix to rock out to.

And where might one aqcuire said midget?

I make no efforts to hide the fact that I am actively seeking one to be my pet. Nothing sexual, just a really cool unique pet that no one else has.

I think it's a good deal for the midget too: a nice basket to sleep in; all expenses covered (hell... could even be for whores if he wanted); etc. The only stipulation is that, when asked, he informs people that he is indeed my pet midget. Well, that & no shitting on the rug or I'll have him put to sleep.

So what about these midgets?

because some people have career aspirations.

Then those people shouldn't post here.

Don't walk in mud if you don't want to get your shoes dirty. It's stupid to tell mud to try to be clean instead.

lol, what?

You say "those people" as if people with career aspirations are a rare breed. I'd say most people on this board have some sort of, um, goal in life, but many of them are too naiive about what can come back to haunt them one day.

I say "those people" for those who are especially concerned about how the public message board they visit will affect them in their career.

Frankly, I think it's a ludicrous thing to be worried about, but hey, if it's a serious concern for someone, then that's what my "don't walk in mud if you don't want your shoes dirty" part of the post was for.

Leftfield - Leftism

All of the Cream '04 crew should remember that...

(although that was at like, 9 am, not 4 am, wasn't it?)

Agreed, 100%, You completly and totally have my agreement in that point...

But like me@tk@tie said, don't participate... you can read it, and let's face it, one of the best parts of the internet is anonymity. So unless your TA Member name is Mrs.Angela Smith SIN# 543035532, you got nothing to worry about. And if you are that worried about your career and it's aspirations, don't post or participate in threads about it, or better yet.. maybe don't partake in the root problem of the thread. I know tons of people who refuse to have a facebook or myspace and don't let pictures be posted online because of thier aspirations to be a cop, or govt worker etc...

But let others talk about... you know how many members on this board you see logged in, viewing the forums, but never posted in the past few months? I know a couple, they just read for enjoyment.

Yeah...no.

I cant tell you how many people I know have said as they approach 30 that because of their partying days, they will never run for any kind of political office. The amount of dirt that can be dug up from people you've interacted with in the scene is one thing - don't add to that by also posting about it online.

All it takes is one person to say you post under a certain name and it's all out there. Why do people refuse to be safe rather than sorry on this topic? Is blabbering about how fucked up you were at some party really that worthwhile?

Great album!

Anyway, back to the matter at hand in my earlier post:

Where can I acquire this midget!?!?

oooooh, nice choice!

I still like Richie Hawtin's Mysterland set ('06, I think) or any of Dustin Zahn's enemymixes over the last couple of years.

(and can people get over the "drugs are bad" bullshit. fuck. if someone wants to talk about it, that's their perogative. this isn't Facebook...no grad school or employer is scouring TA to check up on their applicants or employees )

Try that on a sunday

I think I sent you that one, didn't I?

My other vote would be Sven Vath - Live @ Kristal Club, Bucharest

It's about 3 or 4 hours really rich techno.

Sorry, don't have a link handy but you can probably find it on livesets.com or torrents
