Losing Interest from the Scene...
Lately I have lost a lot of interest from the Scene. Not from the music, but rather from the club scene.
A lot of things in the club scene turn mee off now. However, yet I find that I don't feel the same way about outdoor parties... Weird...
How many of you feel the same way of the club scene, but still in love with the music.
What kind of things turn you off from the club scene?
Absolutely agree with you. The people inside the GUV are just too much for me nowadays.
I try and keep my real partying to a minimum, marking dates on the calender as I see fit. I go strictly for the music regardless of any sketch factor. The whole club scene in Toronto is bullshit though for real..

instead of worshiping one or two dj's you need to go out and try different venues and parties even if you don't know who is playing or not sure if you're going to like the music, hit up a techno event, hit up a hipster event or a deep house event, just be open minded musically and you won't get bored or lose interest in "the scene".

For me, the good aspects of the club scene outweigh the negative. It doesn't bother me enough to affect me. I find most people who have issues with the scene tend to focus too hard on the bad. Sure it's changed a lot, and yes, perhaps I don't venture out to clubs as much as I used to, but I think it's more of a growing out of a phase thing for many. I can still enjoy a night out at a handful of places, and still see myself doing so in a year or two.
My advice: take a break... or.. check out a different environment. Toronto has so much to offer.
Edit:

My interest is still there however what holds me back from going is that my friends have already or is in the process of losing interest. So really, I don't have anyone to go out with now. Most of my friends have moved on to other things: marriage, house or career.
It seems like the summer is the only time they go out. The odd party here and there, but at least I got to enjoy it with them while it lasted.
Going to a regular club on a regular night is unheard of now LOL.

if you still like the music, why do you care about the scene? go out there to listen to the music you like.

Sounds like you need a break from the scene and pick your parties more carefully.
I have friends in the industry to go out with, but I seem to be picking and choosing my nights to go out. Them being big DJs nights or random bdays.
I should rephrase my previous post. I'm not a loner I swear LOL.
I love the scene and the music but sometimes finding a wingman is becoming harder and harder nowadays.
