New Hernan Cattaneo Set - Aug. 2008

Posted this in the FL forum...thought I'd post it here too.

A new Hernan Cattaneo mix from Aug. 2008 posted on his website forum. Sucks that the weekly radio show went down...I guess I got spoiled by his sets. Seems like such a luxury to get something new from him now...

Give it a few listens. I'm listening to it now and quite simply it's fuckin' bomb. Dark progressive house, SIIICK bass lines.

Yeah, some Brazilian company bought out the Argentinean Metrodance station and turned it into a popular format station.

Been listening to this a couple weeks now, and like a typical Hernan gig...it just gets better and better.

I put it ahead of the E-Mix he did this year. Fuckin' amazing.

Hernan Cattaneo! one of the best DJs ever, and don't accuse me of whoring I just do not think this guy gets enough credit for his amazing work. This is certaintly a great set, but not as good as some classics like

Hernan's sets are simply amazing. "Melodically dark" is what I would use to describe. Thanks for the sets and the recommendations!

No problem man any time just trying to spread quality music on this site! Melodically dark is a perfect way to describe hernan cattaneo, he combines the best elements of tribal, progressive, and melodic deep house and techno to produce elegant and intricately layered masterpieces almost every time he spins a set. The guy has been at it for more than 20 years

too bad Oakenfold did not discover him sooner!

I would especially recommend that Hernan Cattaneo- Live @ Southfest Buenos Aires 2006 Set
In my ranking of the top 10 sets I have ever heard (and I have heard at least 1000 front to back, I rated that as the best set of all time) the intro is unbelievable and the climax from 55:00-1:04:00 is among the best I have ever heard by any DJ ever! The entire set is solid as hell!
