happy autumn

it's really starting to feel like autumn around here, and even though i've been kind of bummed about summer being over, i am starting to look forward to some of the awesome things that come with the cooler weather...

honey crisp apples
pumpkin pies
my birthday
hay rides
hiking without sweating
woolly bear caterpillars
Thanksgiving

what are your favorite things about autumn?

Posted by elFreak on Sep-30-2008 18:52:

hockey, football, beer, sweaters.

I do enjoy the heavy dark beers that come from local breweries around this time. The seasonals are best in winter.

You guys already mentioned plenty of things I like as well. Another thing is the breezy air is very relaxing.

Columbia's harvest months are over, supply usually increases once it makes its way up here. And because a high yield gets more through customs, the prices drop.

Everyone wins.

Hello!

cool, crisp air and falling leaves

the smell from the compost of dead leaves (though some say it may be detrimental to one's health, i like the smell of it)

leaves changing color

hot apple cider with a cinnamon stick for fun and a warm cashmere throw

pumpkin-cinnamon candles

hayrides and haunted houses

the collective smell of freshly collected halloween candy in my pillow case

sometimes i forget how lucky i am to be alive and to relive fond moments from my childhood...

autumn is my favorite season. it makes me feel renewed.

happy autumn!

Spiders!

They're HUGE and everywhere this year.

Here's a couple of closeups I took of my new pet spider who has its coil web covering the entire top half of my house's side door. It rebuilds its web every dusk. I've been watching it grow for almost a month now, and it's getting fatter and juicier. It will likely just splat on the pavement if it ever fell off its web.

If you guys are nice, I'll feed it a local insect of your choice and youtube the feeding.

What... it's part of the coolness of Autumn! This is a record year IMO for spiders here, and needs commemoration.

I got some of this the other day as I never tried it. Good beer.

AJ: That spider is pretty cool looking.

yea i really did forget all about that

you have to take things less personally

that was all in the past

so i guess not all jewish people hate me, which is a good thing and those who do, keep hating cuz i've already moved forward

plus, this is just the way i am, if i feel someone doesn't like me, i don't aggravate the situation, i ignore it and carry on...

let's make amends and move on
