this ever happen to you, when you go to sleep?

when you feel like you just tripped and fell over? or you are falling? I hate that fuckin shit it happened to me twice last night... i read somwhere that it's your soul or some shit falling back into your physical body... thats some weird shit.. this shit happen to anyone else or only me?

Your soul falling back into your physical body? Give me a break. It happens to be on a rare ocation and that is when i have not had a full nights rest the night before... when i go to bed super tired i get really shaky and that shit happens to me :/

It is a bit scary because its exactly when you are starting to lose it.

I remember having those on a few occasions during high school in class. The best part is that either my head or my knee would slam into the desk, so I would always wake up to see all the students and teacher just staring at me.

nah i feel ya. i have that sometimes to when im sleeping. its weird becasue i fall asleep and then i have my dream and in the middle of it i'll be running and say i trip, it acutally feels like i fall and i become sort of conscious (but not fully) its hard to explain. I am still sleeping and in the dream but just for that split second i am semi awake and then i wake up and go.

thats fucked up bro.

I rarely remember a dream, sometimes if it trip or fall in a dream the moment I hit the ground in the deam I wakeup,...its a weird experience,...Ive just once had a moment in a dream thinking im gona wake up as soon as I hit & then I did

When I was younger I had a recurring dream of which i don't remember what happened but i always remember physically feeling like I was in freefall at the end of it for about 3-4 seconds before finding my equilibrium again.

Yeah I get that all the time. Feels like I'm perceiving somesort of gravity near my feet and quickly falling towards it, then it stops after a second or so, or after I move.

I'm not sure if this has been answered, but I think you may have experienced sleep paralysis or went into immediate REM. In many cases people that immediately start to dream may not have their body's muscles completely subdued and consequently act out their dreams. I've fallen immediately into REM a few times and then jolted awake a few seconds later after experiencing some sort of falling or tripping in my dreams. Since I wasn't completely asleep and went into REM too fast without the effects of it keeping my body from acting out my dreams, my body reacted, waking me up.

Its only happened to me in class, but it has happened ALOT in class. Weird thing is, even though its scary and I would think it would jolt my attention/alertness, it happens again 5/10 minutes later.
