guatemala or el salvador?

thinking of taking a trip in the spring to central america, specifically either guatemala or el salvador..
my part-timer at work is from ES and she rants and raves that its the greatest place on the planet...so i'm leaning in that direction just so i can see what the hype is all about. i know this sounds crazy..but i really just like saying "guatemala" so that makes me wanna go there...
i'll mostly be shooting for a photo-book i'm working on, so either country will be photogenic enough to please.
anyone been to either? pros/cons of either? easiest place to obtain wonderful green bud for personal enjoyment?

i'd have no issues being kidnapped if i was well fed and had plenty to smoke...besides, i hear columbian guys are kinda hot.

There is no "u" in colombian and ya kidnapping is no joke chained for months at time being dragged through tropical forests. And yes we are hot the girls are hotter though.

Guatemala 100%.

It's not only that I'm guatemalan, it's just that Guatemala has so much more things to offer than El Salvador.

For starters, the climate is soooooooo much better, El Salvador is mostly hot and damp.

Just take a look at these pictures:

That is something that El Salvador simply cannot offer.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me

But seriously, there is so much more that Guatemala has to offer than El Salvador. I personally like to go to El Salvador every now and then...the people are awesome, they have nice beaches (nicer than the regular public beaches here in Guate), and cheap shopping malls...but that's about it

Guatemala for sure!!!!

just stay out of the capital,
but i think that applies to most Central - south american countries.
they can be very dangerous.

and kidnapping ain't no joke.
stay out of
Mexico
Colombia

ok, back to Guate.

Antigua is very nice.

Be sure to stop by San Francisco el Alto, (my home town)
on a Friday Morning for the biggest market day in the country.
Quezaltenango (Xela for us locals) is where you should stay, and visit other places from there.

OHHH don't forget to try some Arroz con Leche.

THAT THING IS AWESOME!!!!

I lived in Guatemala and El Salvador. I can def. tell you that the night live is better in El Salvador, but thats it. El Salvador has nothing interesting to see, and as someone mentioned, its ALWAYS hot.

Guatemala in the other hand has so many different awesome places to see. Antigua, Atitlan, Tikal, so many lakes and volcanoes. The food in guatemala is also 1000 times better than El Salvador. Their national dish is pupusas which is a tortilla with cheese inside (fucking win btw) but thats it. In guatemala the food is very diverse. You can eat mole, Jocon, Pepian etc etc.

Guatemala with out a doubt is the better place. Its also a bit cheaper than El Salvador (from what i remember, havent been to either one in a year)

I always dump a little salsa in my guac.

Guatemala> for its natural beauty. Plus, they kill llamas in front of you so you know the Alpaca fur is 100%.
