Did you try looking in the gmail setttings? Forwarding and POP/IMAP

It is a setting in your Desktop Software,, the BB Internet Service...

you need to check your settings.. I have used the desktop software many times and had to play around with it a bit before i got things working properly.

Actually I think I know how...

Did you try logging into your account on the blackberry website that is designated to your company?

The only option I know of is the "hide sent items" feature in the BB settings. This can be accessed by going to:

Home screen into "Messages", "Options", "General Options", "Hide Sent Messages" set to yes.

Hope this helps.

that option just hides the messages that were sent from my phone.

It bothered me for the first couple weeks until I figured it out. You have to go to the Blackberry desktop and create a filter to block those emails. Google it an you will find the instructions. I think this is the link I used and it worked great.

That's weird.

Mine doesn't do that and I have it setup for 3 other email accounts. I think it might be becasue I am BES activated. Although one of my co-workers isn't BES activated and he told me about this awhile back. He said it was some sort of standard CC feature enabled by default. He wasn't sure how to get rid of it.

I'm curious to know what you did if you got it fixed.

From what I read it only happens with email accounts similar to GMAIL. GMAIL doesn't actually store email like others when you send an email it actually send a copy to your "sent" folder which is why you get a notification on your Blackberry. Creating the filter doesn't stop this it just stops these emails from being forwarded to your Blackberry.

Messenger is disabled on my work Blackberry and to be honest I don't use it on my personal one. While the predictive text is great on the Pearl I think using the messenger service on it is a pain. So no PIN. :P
