gatecrasher question

if anyone could answer this question..i would be in great debt to you

a friend of mine has a gatecrasher mix cd..she has one disk..and it is call latitude.

if anyone can tell me who mixed this..that would be badass

Scott Bond i think. or he at least "compiled it"

latitude is disc 2 of gatecrasher: global sound system.. nobody has actually put their name to mixing it as far as i know, but scott bond did most of the other cds... i would say it'll either be him or matt hardwick

since you only have one cd of it, do you need the tracklist..? fuckit, i might as well give you it since i've got the cd in front of me

aria - dido (armin mix)
albion - air 2000
james holden - horizon (not the original, but the cd doesn't give a mix name)
bedrock - voices (dj remy remix)
marco v - tolerance
terra firma - the adventures of...
after burn - north pole
delerium - silence (tiesto mix)
vdm - no hesitation
the warrior - warrior (club mix)
flutlicht - mutterkorn
kundalini rising - kayomani
alex d'elia vs. ebop allstars - isn't life wonderful (flat 6 remix)
flat 6 - it's too late
embargo - hystirie
miss shiva - dreams (miss shiva club cut-edit)

I'd love to know what mix of 'horizons' that is ... it is fuckin amazing.

Oh yeah and why is it so goddam hard to get 'Terra Ferma - the adventures of ... ' on vinyl??

Global Sound System is one of my favourite Gatecrashers. In fact reading this post reminds me, I'm gonna go and listen to it again right now ...

that mix of horizons is the original mix
also the terra ferma, i think it is part of a vinyl set, which i saw in a store last year but i never picked it up

Yep "Terra Firma - The Adventures Of.." is on the viyl release of Global Sound System.. My m8 has it, and what a tune it is

it is the original, just the second release version that got pansified for commercial use.

anyone who has any sense plays the first release/white label version as its 879658723645% better

All Gatecrasher compilations are compiled by Scott Bond and engineered on computer. Non of the mixing is done on decks which is a bit of a shame.. but then again youre never gonna hear such smooth mixes and transitions

thats isnt right..she has 17 tracks on her cd..not 16..

if you have 17 songs on your cd are you sure that it is latitude. in the two disc compilation longitude has 17 tracks and latitude has 16 so maybe you have a mis-labeled disc or something.

just curious what programs would they use to make the mix on the computer?

I looked in the sleevenotes of the Gatecrasher CD, says its the Way out West mix of Horizons

The industry standard for commercial dance mix albums is Digidesign Pro Tools software ... it's the best there is.

To get the best out of Pro Tools you require a heinous great mixing desk, a fully blown power Mac with a few gigabytes of RAM, high speed SCSI hard drive and a few other bits and pieces, but if you haven't got tens of thousands of quid sitting about, you can download a free limited-functionality version from www.digidesign.com

well alls i can say is.... LATITUDE ABSO-FIRKIN-LUTELY ROCKS!, im not really into normal/uplifting trance much, but try listening to this baby when your having sum weed. just when you can start to feel the weed to hit you.... put it on from the start, the intro of dido - aria, just sounds so beautiful and tranquil!

well since we're talking about this cd.. i thought i'd just say that pvd - love from above (#9 on longditude) is one of my favourite toons of all time.. i never hear anything about it...

is it available on vinyl anywhere?
