ok the title may sound a bit wrong, but what dj has "underperformed" to you expetations this year?8compared to years before)

to break the ice:
Tiesto

his concert in pag, croatia sucked!!
it was filled with cheesy and housey tunes
and his mc is just getting more and more iritating:

Above and Beyond
I saw them twice and both times they just played cheesy trance that wasnt euphoric at all and both times they played about as many oceanlab songs from 5 years ago as they played new music
terrible track selection live from what ive seen
Dave Dresden at lovefest
Donald Glaude at lovefest afterparty he made some really basic mistakes that made ppl walk out of his set in favor of ATB it was pretty sad

...sounds like Above & Beyond on any given date over the past three years.

Especially with digging up of old Oceanlab material.

It wouldn't surprise me if Satellite worked its way into every one of their sets since its release.

Not that it seems to bother many of their fans.

Behrouz....

I'm a big fan of his but he was horrendous the 2 times i saw him this year

Yeah because most of their fans don't have a very diverse taste in dance music, I was expecting a little better both times because I had heard some pretty good TATW sets..but then again they can't play satellite on every TATW it would be too obvious they don't try hard enough to diversify..EVEN Armin Van Buuren was playing sick techno and a bunch of obscure tracks and they were all sick EVEN ATB who i thought was the epitome of trance cheese was playing melodic techno and good trance

I wouldnt mine seeing A&B drop out of the top 20 this year same with tiesto if you don't even try u shouldnt be ranked in the top 10

Hey, ATB's first 'DJ In the Mix' mix comp wasn't all that bad, at least the first disc.

By the way, just had to remark upon your Santa Cruz residence. I made many a trip there from 2005 until 2007, seeing as my girlfriend moved from SF to SC to go to UCSC.

Spent a lot of time over on Pacific, including the Streetlight on Pacific (which actually had a decent Dance section); the Taco Bell on Mission (up from Bay Street) and of course that glorified carnival called the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.

Oh, by the way, your sig is huge; might wanna trim the size down a little bit.

That's interesting. Although I've never seen him, I've had this impression that he's one of those crowdpleasers that almost never disappoints.

Thats funny I go to that taco bell almost every day its within walking distance of my apartment! I live in downtown
And I just reduced the size of my sig is that small enough?

I just didn't think he had any connection with the crowd when he played the 2 times i saw him.

...he seemed very lost and the crowd was a bunch stiff boards

I think you still need to put it through some more resizing, but hey man, it's your sig, so no need to clear it with me.

Just offering a suggestion or two.

No-one that I can really think of that I have wanted to see has disappointed me.

I wasn't all that impressed with danny howells at the weekend there, but don't consider myself the biggest fan of danny howells. Left after about 2 hours of his set (he played for 5 hours)

was having the conversation yesterday...

we've cme to the conclusion that Morillo plays his best when he isn't in NYC...

he is a completely different DJ when he spins in Vegas, Miami, etc. He is shit in NYC
