The Debate

Why does Obama keep saying Pock-i-stan instead of Pakistan?

I'm swaying towards independant while watching these two bicker.

Posted by nchs09 on Oct-08-2008 02:17:

Post in the other thread?

Posted by Sushipunk on Oct-08-2008 02:17:

This is already being discussed in another thread.

Edit: Damn you Nachos! *shakes fist*

HEY what are you doing living in sauga..... i thought all your type lived in browntown....err i mean pakistak......err i mean BRAMPTON

Posted by Lira on Oct-08-2008 20:42:

I always thought the pronunciation in English was Parkistan (UK/AUS) or Pokistan (US/CAN)... do people actually say Packstan?

Posted by Echo of Silence on Oct-08-2008 20:50:

I pronounce it Pock-is-tan.

1 syllable: like the first syllable of the word "pocket"

2 syllable: "is" pronounced like see backwards

3 syllable: tan like yawn minus the y plus a t.

I speak good English!
