Sweet! The circle jerk makes another one! I'll download when I get out of the office

Posted by RJT on Oct-10-2008 13:15:

Actually, it looks like it was just added to Proton on Demand - so no idea if it's airing or just being hosted on the On Demand service.

And yeah - this should represent me pretty well as the slightly more commercial/tech-house arm of the circle jerk mafia.

Eh, didn't really like it. Probably my least favorite set of yours. First 45 min just bored me, not my kinda style. I skimmed through most of it (it as in the first 45), so can't really comment on flow or mixing. I enjoyed the last quarter tho!

Hey Rob, finally got around to listening to your set today as I drove to the office this morning. It was raining and traffic was very slow so it gave me enough time to listen to the whole thing

I remember a thread you started on the "New Releases Forum" about a Tech House track (I can't remember the name or the artist right now), that according to you did both the "Tech" and the "House" part of "Tech House" amazingly well.

Let me tell you Rob, that with this set you managed to accomplish that perfect balance between the "Tech" and the "House" parts all the way through. Your track selection, which I think is always your strongest point in every single set I've heard from you, as usual was superb.

There was only one point in which I felt the set kinda drags on, which is during "The Box". But other than that the flow is great. My favorite tracks were the one that plays at around the 30 minute mark, "Steppenwolf" and the closing track "Alma [Francois Dubois Mix]", which is just

Very well done Rob!

Really glad a few of you have enjoyed this.

To be brief, this mix was really just me needing to blow of some steam during a stressful day - so I guess in a lot of ways hearing that anyone else actually enjoys it makes me feel pretty good.

Honestly, though, I really thought it was going to come off as erratic, directionless, and manic - because frankly, I am right now - so to see it get a bit of a positive response makes me quite happy.

Thanks guys.
