Why trance is #1 ?
I would seriously like to know (no pun intended) why trance is #1? Is there a specific reason why trance is number 1, and not other genres ? lol....
lol....
Oh, and, nobody cares if your puns were intended.
Number one what? Certainly not in general popularity or sales, as house remains king.
If you mean why are trance DJs typically at the top of DJ Mag's popularity poll, it's generally fans of trance that vote in that poll. If fans of house, techno, jungle, breaks, downtempo, and hardcore all participated in that poll, the results would probably far different.
ok I'll admit I'm not 100% awake today, but what pun was there?
He's an idiot. That's what the pun was.
A better question is why isn't trance #1?
Riddle me that, Einstein.
No pun achieved...
I could idiot right upside your face lol....Mostly why is trance on main stages more them some rockin house/techno djs... Yes I was also talking about djmag
Also why the white t-shirt is white t-shirt?

| Originally posted by Ojay There are several easons why it gets a lot of attention: 1. most trance fans are younger (most older people go away from Trance as they feel they need to listen to 'advanced' music when they get older). Younger fans are also more active - they go to concerts /events etc... 2. Trance is now an extremely wide genre. It covers EDM-ized vocal-POP (also called vocal-Trance in the US) and it also covers Techno-Trance and Progressive. 3. (to-be-continued) |
Trance is the most popular genre because it is the most effective at providing listeners with emotive and spine-tingling aural intoxication
But Right now it looks like melodic techno is emerging and in fact as recently as last week armin van buuren was playing melodic techno at the Lovefest Afterparty is just illustrative of that trend
Unfortunately a lot of DJs with big name recognition bank on a lot of drugged up attendees to their concerts with only one objective to party like mad irrespective of whats playing. So some of the bigger names have declined in quality while emerging trance artists like Gareth Emery, Andy Moor and Kyau vs. Albert are continuing to play the best new tunes the most consistently while they largely get ignored due to the nostalgia factor for other big names (tiesto ring a bell anyone?)
I really like the reaction of crowds to artists like Colette who not only play absolutely sick house and melodic techno and who actually produce and sing their own tracks. Women DJs are on the rise, especially attractive ones who play sick tunes consistently!
I thought house was the most popular genre
And when talking about quality, well that's subjective matter. I mean I even know people who like speedcore.
Think the thing we should ask ourselves nowadays is: what is trance?
and more importantly, what does Trance mean to YOU?
and how can we better live IN Trance, and with Trance.
How can we realize the Trance within us?

How important is Trance to YOU!?
How does it affect your LIFE!!?

ask wiki,
"trance found itself filling a niche that was 'edgier' than house, more soothing than drum and bass, and more melodic than techno, which made it accessible to a wide audience"
Also I read somewhere that the tempo of trance is the same as the heart rate when doing moderate exercise which is usualy when the most serotonin is released (serotonin is the chemical that makes you feel happy, like when you have sex or chocolate...or both).
