2008 Official Federal Election Voting Poll (Who you voted for!)

Please vote for who you actually voted for in this Federal Election.

Please vote honestly and if are not eligible to vote, vote how you would if you were. If not, don't vote!

We can see how TOTA relates to the rest of Ontario & Canada in terms of our voting choices!

So I went to vote, and there were 2 old ladies manning the booth. I give them my first time voter registration card (I just moved into the neighbourhood) with Ministry of National Defence ID card. They were like, where are you from? I said I'm from South Korea. They were like, first time voting? Welcome to Canada. I replied, uh, I've been living in Canada for like 17 years. Silly old ladies.

Wow, a ton of Liberals on here. Then again, Toronto is a very Liberal-centric city, is it not?

I wanted to vote for the Other Party, but Baldrick did not ran in my riding

Posted by jsibilin on Oct-14-2008 20:35:

green party all the way.. even though they won't win at least i can say I voted !

Posted by Aleksandra on Oct-14-2008 20:38:

I just hope Conservatives don't win.. give someone else a shot at running the place.. their recent power was meh for me, so let's see what someone else can do..
With this mentality, I was gona vote Green.. but as jsibilin said, they won't win... so maybe I'll go NDP?

Man, it's sad when I know 100X more about the american platforms than ours

Posted by malek on Oct-14-2008 20:45:

I'll vote in a bit for the Bloc.

Last elections the margin was 3000 for the Lesbirals against the Bloc, now with an armenian running for the CPC, lots of sheep Liberal armenians will vote for that guy, hoping the bloc wins in my riding

Posted by Yohan on Oct-14-2008 20:48:

Not really. I'd rather vote with my conscience than any 'strategic voting'

Posted by zoogla on Oct-14-2008 20:49:

A vote for NDP is a vote for the Conservatives!!!

that's a utopian outlook
you gotta have a strategy and clear outlook - there's no way in hell Greens will win, so why not vote for a more feasible candidate?

Posted by The Ear on Oct-14-2008 21:49:

You'd best be voting with your local candidates in mind, as in a minority government, local voices can actually be heard above the din of party politics at times.

Posted by coconuticecream on Oct-14-2008 21:54:

you can tell most of the people that have participated in this TA election poll live in an around toronto lol

def does not reflect the country as a whole, but in our little bubble which is toronto or the gta is a whole its wishful thinking to have the conservatives completely out of the picture and have ndp and liberals going at it.

Right, the way to make your voite "count" is to understand the reality, which you can only do if you keep yourself informed with the daily news and polls. You have to maintain a pulse on the system if you want to make a difference with your vote.

If you really wanted Green to win, you'd join the party and try to convert existing constituencies by using a methodical approach of tracking each household via phone or door knocking to understand if your party has a chance.

If you haven't gone through the whole process to support what you truly believe in then your opinion doesn't matter (if the party you support is a tiny minority).
