12 Yr. Dj Line Up At The Drink??

Who was spinning at the drink and what were their set times?

I'm on a crusade to find out but a single track that was playing, that I'd heard only once before at CZ.

I MUST find it... the first step = the DJ.

I believe I heard it between 2-4 am...

If I'm lucky there will be MP3's of all the sets that were played but I'm just dreaming...

so, what were the DJ set times at the Drink?

This tack is imossible to describe, but I'll do the best I can...

It is a dirty dirty nasty tune that is not much like anything else I've heard.. it's one of those rare tunes, it's not tribal or any of that shit... more of a tech/electro tune I don't even know if it's either but it's some crazy shit...

It was a very "alien" sound... it's def been out for a while now since I heard it like 6 months ago at CZ...

It's kinda "grungy"... kind of an 'off-beat' synth loop going on..

To be honest.. yes.. yes it does... You listen to it and it doesn't make much sense but then it call comes together and it is delicious dirty electronic beats!

Anyway, it is quite similar to 'Geneis' by Justice, minus all the annoying stuff at the beginning and the end, and it doesn't change nearly as much as genesis.. it keeps pretty steady from my recollection.

No vocals, none of that non-stop build up shit.. just straight goods!

I can't see the roaches playing anything that sounds like Justice.

I was also there for Carlo's 2.4 tracks and he did not play anything that sounded like Justice.

Are you sure you weren't just really high and have no idea whaty you're talking about?

it it was carlo he only played a few tracks. try him on facebook and ask him which ones he played.

I know what I'm looking for, I've heard this track before.

I personally think Justice blows for the most part, but their track Genesis is pretty dope (you heard it or what?). The track I'm talking about is not Justice or anything close to justice, but the tune does have quite a similary in terms of the actual loop of the first half of the track.

I didn't want to say who it was in the Cherry Beach thread but we have one of our very own TA's to thank for that line.

Who am I to judge though, I've used some pretty strange imagery / metaphors to try and describe a song before. Still a funny line, but mostly because I can relate a bit. *laugh*
